A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

Maximum stress should be given on reading. Reading as a habit has to be promoted amongst children so that they not only acquire maximum knowledge from different fields but will also have a wide vacabulary and will never get stuck up to express their knowledge, thoughts, ideas and believes just because of the lack of the correct word. Language development is a very important part of elementary education as whatever is learnt finally needs to be expresses. Extra reading should be encouraged.

I think the CCE system should completely b removed. It is creatng a lack of interest & competetiveness on part of the students. Moreover reducing the task of the teacher toteach students through computer PPT,DRAWING & other teaching aids. They r free from the worry of providing basic education, deeper knowledge on the subject matter.Though computer education is necessary bt not the cost of basic & deeper knowledge of various subjects.

Respected just the day before yesterday i watched a programme named DNA on Zee News.It was related with theschooling in rural India. Its really pitiable & sad on the part of the system that the students are incabable of reading their lessons properly.leave alone the english lessons, they can't read their hindi lessons.there r many reasons behind.Foremost is the lack of attention by the teachers.,inadequate teacher-student ratio.I don't know where we r leading towards.

RESPECTED SIR/MADAM-ACCORDING TO OUR LATEST EDUCATION POLICY ,STUDENTS MUST BE GIVEN CHANCES TO SHOW TECHNICAL BENEFITS INSTEAD OF THEORTICAL VIEWS.EVEN TEACHER/PROFESSOR MUST CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR STUDENTS TO SHOW INTEREST ACCORDING TO THEIR MENTAL SETUP.BOOKS AS WELL AS TOOLS SHOULD BE PART OF LIFE INSTEAD OF BEING BOOKISH IN NATURE

We should have a unique identity about language in our country. Just like someone who knows English can go anywhere in the world & communicate properly, similar condition should be prepared here in India. I think Hindi would be the most ideal language for that. One should love his mother tongue no doubt. but as a country we don't have that unique identity about language.

Education of language Hindi should be made compulsory in India. Of course 1st language is mother tongue. Most of the parts in India lacks in communicating in Hindi, especially south India. That communication barrier should not exist due to the person not knowing Hindi. At least education policy would be designed so ,that one at least understand and speak Hindi in routine if he is made to face that lingual people in the country. As an Indian one must learn Hindi, though not supposed to become expert
