A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

Part 4 / 8 : GIVE/ALLOCATE MORE TIME TO LANGUAGES:- Slowly & steadily, all our students are losing interest in languages, which is given least preference while learning. Be it time / duration for exams or time allocated for study of language, the importance given to the language is not par with other subjects and this trend is growing with each day.

Part 5/8: GENERATE INTEREST ON LANGUAGE AMONG STUDENTS :- There’s a lack of effort to generate interest in students in language. Other than syllabus, today’s students hardly goes beyond the subject nor has he time to look beyond the class books. May be, we should amend the curriculum in a way, in order to ensure / generate interest among the languages

Part 6/8 : TEACH HISTORY OF LANGUAGES TO STUDENTS We all are taught about our freedom movement, ancient & modern history, cultural tradition etc.. in the school syllabus…..but sorry, If I’m wrong, but do not recall any syllabus covering the in-depth history of Indian languages, how they originated, how they developed, why so many languages in our country, what’s the genesis, origin etc..

Part 7 / 8 : INCULCATE THE PRIDE AMONG STUDENTS ABOUT THE LANGUAGE :- It’s high time, we cover all these issues in our syllabus, depending on class / educational level, so that, every student feels and takes pride in Indian Languages, its advancement etc. Our teachers should also be trained to impart the nuances of languages to students. PL ALSO EXCHANGE OF HISTORY OF LANGUAGES AMONG ALL. EG. A MALAYALAM STUDENT SHOULD LEARN THE HISTORY OF KANNADA OR TAMIL & VICE VERSA !

Part 8/8:ENCOURAGE/TEACH SANSKRIT THE MOTHER OF ALL LANGUAGES:- Last, but not the least, let’s also promote Sanskrit in all schools, right from primary level. It’s the mother of all languages & many countries outside India have also acknowledged, but unfortunately, it’s getting debated here. No issue, any debate is quite healthy in democratic world , but let’s take up this issue to its logical conclusion, SINCE SANSKRIT IS GRAMMATICALLY THE MOST CORRECT & COMPLETE LANGUAGE.

Every Student must become proficient in speaking, reading & writing their mother tongue. They should also be proficient in speaking Hindi as most widely spoken national language. For working within the state, proficiency in Mother-tongue should be sufficient, added proficiency in most widely spoken regional language of the state is desirable but not compulsory. For National jobs, Hindi should suffice.Proficiency in English will give them added advantage in getting more National & International Jobs

During 15 years of schooling ( 3 yrs KG & 12 Yrs in 10+2 system),students must be encouraged to learn 2-3 regional languages (Must for national integration & bonding) besides Hindi & English. They must become proficient in their mother tongue & 1 more language (Hindi/ English). There should also be an exposure to International Languages like Mandarin,German,French,Italian, Russian,Spanish etc. It would be bonus if the student get working knowledge about 1 International Language other than English

Language becomes the important mode of communication. All knowledge to be shared with the student should be in his/her mother tongue. Then the student should be encouraged to express his/her opinion & understanding to other classmates & teachers. From primary classes itself students must be encouraged to learn other regional, national & international languages. Wards of govt. service person can play important role in this process as these children are getting transferred to new schools frequently

There is certain diffrence between teachers and faculties. teachers are for teaching as syllabus is limite. Faculties are not suppose to teach rather they are for guidence and research. Research is main priority of university faculty. Teaching staff is wrong phrase for university faculty so avoide to say teaching and non traching staff, it create huge blunder,so say faculty and clerical or admin staff seperatly. Statistics is weakpoint in indian graduation cources.
