Plastic has become a part of our daily lives, but its overuse and careless disposal are causing serious harm to our environment. One-time-use plastic items like water bottles, wrappers, straws, and bags take hundreds of years to decompose and often end up in oceans, harming marine life and polluting nature. To tackle this growing problem, we must adopt the powerful principle of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
Reduce your plastic use by saying no to unnecessary plastic products. Carry your own cloth or jute bag, use metal or glass water bottles, and avoid products with heavy plastic packaging.
Reuse plastic items wherever possible—containers, jars, and bags can be reused many times instead of being thrown away after a single use.
Recycle plastics by properly sorting waste so they can be sent to recycling centers where they are turned into new items, reducing the need for fresh plastic production
By following these steps, each one of us can contribute to reducing plastic pollution
