In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

Hi, I wish in villages if they need any government document I suggest villagers should submit his requirement in his village panchayat online and then it is govt. officials responsibility to deliver the required document on time.

Corruption as a human is the misuse of trust placed in a person being part of the society.
Any act that belittles human values, becomes a reason to erode morals creates corruption.

Those who seeks or attempt to obtain or give benefits to certain sections or groups with unequal intent not only destroy law and order in a society but undermine other sections of people to seek advantage from such legally systemic measures which corrupts the society.

To be continued in next comment....

Hello,

In order to stop harassment to common man from bureaucracy, I suggest please digitise all the process so that people need not to go to every office to get any document, Also please restrict the time for each task for officials so that the common man know when he will get the document so that he can spend the time for his productive work instead of going between the govt. offices. This will also improves country productivity and prosperity.

i think for corruption is depend on honesty.first of all school have one subject for honesty from childhood children can understand the value of honesty.and now by technology,no one want to say there monthly income to any one.so government should not serious about these.so government should get information about each an every money detail.it is not possible to get each money detail.so i think there is no way stop corruption it is not by any technology.

Most corruption occur in RTO dpt. Like other countries when a traffic police stops any whehicle he should take his thumb as it is listed in rto data then he should impose the charge. And their should be camera which need to be scrutinize every day. Only if he had vedio shooted that only he need to penalized. Best way make RTO private body. Whats their use for country.

Reducing Corruption through Technology - Is Tax process automated. I have done advance tax payment which went to Payment type 111 instead of Payment type 300. Still not able to move amount from Type 111 to type 300 nor to my account after 09 months. Interestingly CPC IT Dept is saying, forget about that money. That money is not recoverable. I do not know, Govt can eat direct tax payers money in this way. Well done Indian govt.

Reducing Corruption through Technology - All this drama is for common people. Why this Govt infusing hugh capital into banks, is this govt money i.e., honest tax payer's money in turn why are you not recovering same amount of money from that corrupt officials/politicians, you can not because from that corrupt group few will be party members, few will be relatives. Govt is pushing cores of money into banks so that another way (through different scandals) bank officials/politicians will take money

from bank very easily. Demonetization drama over!!! None of the politicians/corrupt govt officials are punished. If punished also, situation like corrupt official has done scam of 200 Crores but fine will be only 02 Lakhs officially. Non-officially CBI/Police/Ministers/Judges will get their commission. Please stop torturing normal people.
