In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

Firstly remove corruption from technology as corrupt thing can not correct corruption

In India there are many network service provider who claim to have fastest internet connection but in reality 4g speed is less than a underdeveloped country like Pakistan. I would say it is our fault who start digital India and don't see average 4g speed in world. Now I have heard 5g is going to start and 4g speed is very slow.
Thanks for this platform
Yours thankful

Adaraniy Modiji,
Possibility of NRI's age relaxation in public recruitment campaigns.
I am an NRI spend my 16 years of youthful days in Saudi arabia. When I came back in India in 2013 as a jobless person to settle down with my family;I am around age of 41 yrs.I understood the fact with great disappointment that every public recruitment campaign has an age bar.

Kindly allow NRI's to participate in Central & State public recruitment by allowing age relaxation.

One of the major corruption issue is police department. Often policemen make you run around over jurisdiction or simply not taking complaint. create a centralized number for complaint and then its transferred to respective thana.

Start the system of in principal system approval for application. e.g submit all the required documents online. Give approval and one only than one has to submit the original. this helps in making multiple rounds to government offices. Often government employee demand for not just holding the application or asking extra documents which is never reflected in the system.

If you look at private companies the decision making is decentralized but the system used to connect people is centralized. It give manager controlled over their employee. e.g a poor feedback of the all officers are centralized system to take decision what to to do next.

The corruption is there where someone has sole power. There are rules in many acts still exists which are draconian and leads to monopoly and corruption. Please invite comments from the public about the rules leading to corruption. You have removed the inspector raj, more need to be done. Held Govt servant responsible and ask for their performance. Remove inefficient people from the job.

Corruption is like a chain system in India. From top level to grass wood level people scams. Scams start from Rs.20 to many crores. There should be a strong monitoring system by which it can track Ministers and Bureaucrats. At the end entire nation is controlled by these two categories. For administrative works give preference to good nature instead of high qualification. There is no such evidence that high education gives high morality. Needs to avoid favoritism which leads corruption.
