R/Sir, The idea of auctioning coal mines for commercial mining is fine. By auctioning the coal mines the government exchequer will be flooded with huge funds. But what about the plight of the common man in the streets. The company winning the mine by bidding the highest bid will charge exorbitant prices from the common man. It is very sorry to say sir that nowadays the government is busy collecting money from the public only to spend mostly on salaries/allowances of its establishments.
#MinistryofCoal,
The auction method is well then other but the distribution of coal to state will being limited we find other method to generate electricity because we save coal for future stop mining coal or less use of coal of India to make us power full country
In my view the idea of private mining is good to improve productivity of mining. Govt should consider logistics of thermal plants, heat value, ash generation, forest cover for handing pollution, energy lost in transportation of coal to far of destination. Railway traffic congestions, whether power generation nearest to the coal mines vs transmission loss is worth while. Imported coal with higher heat values and logistic advantage to plant should be considered. No doubt loss of foreign exchange.
Well, I do not consider it a great idea. Justin order to make some money we cannot destroy the natural resources which we have . the private company's as which are not even bothered about their working conditions cannot be expected to be bothered about the country people. Moreover this will lead to the same disastrous events that the privatisation of waste management has already led to. So my favour is against the motion.
