The strings of India's development have been inseparably attached to the success of its Textiles sector. The industry's symbiotic relationship with agriculture widens the range of beneficiaries.

•4.5 crore people are directly employed while another 6 crores are indirectly in this sector with a considerable stake of women and rural population.

•5% of the global trade in textiles and apparel is to India's credit.

•India's centuries-old knowledge and expertise in this sector have positioned it as the world's 2nd largest manufacturer and exporter with a 12% share in total exports (2018-19).

And now we, at the Textiles Ministry have our sights set on achieving global leader status for India. Government under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has been pushing for innovation and incentives to realise the mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by bolstering exports, quality & productivity, competitiveness, technology up-gradation, research & development, and training & skill development in this industry.

Now, we are keen to listen to the suggestions of Industry experts, innovators, students, business leaders, and all other contributors to this sector to expedite our mission. As we mark the 75th year of India's Independence, we want you to have an increased stake in the success of the Textiles industry.

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 15th August 2021.

the olden days the cotton clothes hand made used to stay for long term. today use of detergents, thin threads, factory made clothes may come for 3months. this increase & factory cut piece clothes wastage. recycled handbags should use for vegetable vendor. polyester is non biodegradable & fire accident. ivory button, elastic, zipper, colour ect increase waste & cotton fibre asthma, allergy. use standard threads, sewing, white cotton no natural / chemical colour used to sell. water conservation.

This generation got more transport, internet facilities. People can utilise it for businesses.
But we have to maintain uniqueness product every district, intern states.
Similarly I came across one more online shop https://www.itokri.com/. It is online selling art products, exports etc. This is also good one. They send daily mail about 8 to 10 products. Customer will buy whenever they interested. I got many things online itself from this website.

As per my knowledge I came know about FABIndia, which was exporter of all the art products and different state dresses can get in one shop. They export to foreign. Collections are good.
About that is https://www.fabindia.com/60-years-of-fabindia
Similarly government shop nationally to each state will help hand weaven people.
Emporium, handicraft, handaloom shops in tourist places also will help. Already I think cities it is there. Probably more awareness can create via medium.

First of all we have to maintain this. Then we can brand one product from each state and can make global sale. Generally I believe festival times people buy, handaloom products, traditional sarees. Similarly nationall also we can create awareness that branded dresses from state to others.
Handaloom, handicrafts shops can be opened as contract basis in other state cities.

Some general suggestion as per my experience.
1. As far as I have seen in a single state I can say in different district the cloth material varying. Each has unique pattern. I believe climate related also cloth types are there. For summer, cold etc. For example, in tamilnadu we have chetti badu type cotton, Armani patty, kanchipuram patty etc. As per my knowledge. It will be more than this in tamilnadu itself.
Similarly every state when we bu chudidhar, pattu sarees we have different types
