Collecting stamps is an art! The passion and patience one build over time in seeking, locating, acquiring, organizing, cataloguing, displaying, storing, and maintaining the stamps ...
due to philately i came across USSR stamps. it made me realise the closeness historically between India and USSR due to release of Indian themed stamps.
focus of stamps in Africa is based on their cultural and environmental riches. now as development occurs the focus shifts to infrastructure etc.
in countries that make west indies the theme of cricket was very strong. major sports events like world cup victory in cricket was covered there and Sri Lanka. major sports victories are covered worldwide.
due to stamps independence fighters who were unknown can come into mainstream. poets, saints, freedom fighters, leaders, sportspersons can gain prominence.
even our farmer were given importance in our stamps . stamps are but reflection of reality captured to be remembered eg Asian games, CWG.
due to philately i came to know much more about history and geography of India and various countries. it helps develop respect for the art of letter writing.

3. Probably we can add this hobby in schools or colleges or workplaces. It will be creative, innovative and relaxing techniques.
4. We can call for already stamp collecting people or whoever done before and appreciate them or store them for the great hobby. Probably it will give unknown info.
good for wark
Stamp collecting has become so dull because of modern technology like email, twitter, Facebook and several other social media. Nowadays noone is sending post. But after bringing several modernization in postal department by our Modiji leadership now it is developing a lot. I am so happy that we can print our ancestors picture as well as our picture in stamps and get it. How big it is. So like my childhood I would start to collect stamps again and remember my olden days.
yeah it's very good and nice idea for society....... it's very important

Stamps collection is one of the beautiful and interesting hobby. It's really challenging these days to collect stamps. A small piece of paper gives a lot of information about a country and its history, culture and tradition. Each stamp has its uniqueness. Whenever one has stress glancing through the stamps collection will help to relax and gives happiness. Try to collect rare stamps adding them in the collection is a great thrill. Youngsters should have this hobby compulsorily in their life.
