Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed a webinar on implementation of Budget 2023-24 which has stood to be a youth-centric budget.
The budget focus on Apprenticeship training as it is one of the most sustainable model of skill development. The Hon’ble Prime Minister said, the new opportunities outlined in the budget will seamlessly integrate the ‘World of Education', the ‘World of Skills’ and the ‘World of Work’. And a milestone initiative towards creation of a more vibrant and participative apprenticeship training ecosystem in the country is the support that will be extended to 47 lakh youth in 3 years through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the pan-India National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Apprenticeship are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:

• NAPS-2 is a DBT scheme with the Government of India (GoI) support going directly to the bank account of apprentices instead of reimbursement to the establishment as in case of earlier version of NAPS. Thus, the Government will directly pay the apprentices 25% of the stipend payable up to Rs. 1,500 per apprentice per month on confirming the payment of establishment part of the stipend. The entire process of DBT will be hosted on the Apprenticeship Portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and there will be limited manual intervention execution of the scheme.

• One of the major changes proposed in the new scheme as compared to the earlier version is the introduction of DBT. The earlier scheme of NAPS was not supported by the feature of DBT which is transparent and a quick process. It will also overcome the delay in the reimbursement process to the establishments which was the major challenge in the previous version of NAPS. DBT offers comprehensive advantages such as identifying the leakages in financial disbursement under NAPS, formalizing the offline modes of stipend payment system, moving away from long delays from claiming reimbursements and most critically promotion of apprenticeship among youth thereby creating increased demand amongst candidate groups to choose apprenticeship as a skilling vehicle.

• The scheme has suitably addressed the concerns of industry by offering flexibility in curriculum development and imparting training under Optional Trades which are industry driven and dynamic in nature whereas, Designated Trades are more structured and follow a standardized approach to train the apprentices.

All the trainings should eventually be employer lead apprenticeship schemes or degree linked apprenticeship programmes incentivising the Industry partners more than what is being offered now
Universities, colleges stand alone institutions should also be mandated to make provisions for apprenticeship programmes thereby keeping aside some budget for them for the Implementation of Apprenticeship
Workshops to be arranged for the Industry players at various locations where a large amout of the budget will get utilized
Arrange Apprenticeship Melas on a larger scale
Incentivize the Sector Skill Councils
The scheme will cover new age courses for Industry 4.0 such as coding, AI, robotics, mechatronics, IOT, 3D printing, drones, and soft skills. The budget can be utilized for the same.
Apprentices should receive the same health and safety regulations that are available for the regular employees.
Uniform stipend structures and Government re imbursements across all states to be adopted.

To implement budget initiatives for augmenting apprenticeship in India, measures such as incentivizing companies, expanding NAPS, increasing awareness, developing a digital platform, policy reforms, collaborating with industry bodies, and providing financial support to apprentices can be taken. These measures can create a skilled and inclusive workforce, empower young people with valuable skills, and drive innovation and growth in the economy.

We see many people do not plan well for their Retirement or I would say that they do not Retire Rich. When it comes to Govt sector employee’s they get pension. However, when it comes to private sector, People have very less knowledge & awareness on how they can make their Retirement life easy. I understood this in my 40 year of age which is very late. Still, I feel, I am lucky & Thank Full to my Wife (Malti Kapoor) who helped in planning this.
People try to save money in some schemes which are not so fruitful in giving good returns over the long time.
1)THE IDEA IS TO THAT A RULE TO ASK EVERY COMPANY TO INVEST 500 RS PER MONTH FOR EMPLOYEE IN LARGE CAP MF & FROM FIRST MONTH OF JOINING TILL THE RITERMENT.
2)OTHER WAY TO DO THIS IS PF DEDUCTION CAN BE MADE 11% & 1% MAKE AS INVESTMENT AMOUNT. I KNOW THERE WILL BE LOSS FOR GOVERNMENT BUT IT WILL HELP LONGER RUN.
SHORT WAY TO DO IS - COMPANY CAN TIE UP WITH EXISTING STOCK MARKET CONSULTANTS.

Respected PM, GOI, Finance Minister of India, SEBI, RBI every year there are thousands of Indian Private and Public Limited Company who took Loans from Banks in cores but many of them and not repaying the loan on time hence in that scenario there should be a complete return filling section in Income Tax of different loan take by each company and payment done by the company and audit must be conducted every year by Government of India by seperate Government orgnisation appart from CIBIL. So that every Bank can check payment structure and repayment structure and then finalise the future Loans. Even every year Passport Details of all Board of Directors and Owners must be mentioned in Income Tax return and it must be mandatory and copies of aadhaar card and passport copies must be attached with income tax return. Where Loans above 100 Crs then their should be option on Passport department portal for each business man with a Red Tag and it must be highlighted if person is leaving India.
