The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

Two thoughts on incentivsing people to opt for EVs. (1). EVs today are pricier than other cars. Incentivise the buyer with a small rebate on their electricity bills. (2) provide rebate on tolls, parking fees, ‘preferred’ access to certain public facilities like parkings, toll lanes, etc. (3) convert all taxis to EVs thru subsidised loans, dedicated charging spots.

5. We have to plant more trees in the roads. This may absorb pollution. A assessment where trees existing roads how the pollution, with trees roads how the pollution or air quality can help to decide to plant the trees.

3. When we increase EVs similarly we have to see the number of power stations for charging. If possible, we can use battery backups, home charging availability, feasibility need to check.

Some suggestions
1. Solar enabled EVs or other vehicles cZn promote mote. For example two wheeler, auto rikshaw, auto are small vehicles where we can get energy from solar panels. This innovative designs can try to implement and can provide for short distances transportation.

Educating about real world experience by experienced EV user to school and college students should be encouraged.

EV mela should be organised in every city for encouraging adoptation of EVs.

Investment in more efficient battery development should be made.

Investment for generating more charging capacity in regeneration process should be made.

Dedicated EV lane in major cities for ensuring less speed fluctuation and better range output could be drawn.
