Shoonya Campaign Townhall - Inviting Suggestions on how can EV charging infrastructure become more accessible and convenient for everyone in our cities and towns

Start Date :
Jan 16, 2024
Last Date :
Feb 16, 2024
23:45 PM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share ...
In order to enhance use of electric vehicles scientists/engineers may try to invent vehicles , which can run or move on roads fitted with such equipments through induction of electric currents or magnetic force. Electrical conductors are needed to be placed under the roads rather above vehicles.
Similarly scientists/engineers may invent asbestos/roofs fitted with solar batteries or cells above it. So that these can be used for dual purpose like used for roofs and for electricity generation as solar energy.

Keeping in mind the rise of EVs, there's a need for better EV charging infrastructure that is easily accessible and convenient for everyone in our cities. This can be done by:
1) Education and Awareness- Public awareness campaigns can play a significant role in promoting the growth of EV charging infrastructure. By educating consumers about the benefits and availability of EV charging, more people may be encouraged to make the switch.
2) Investment in Fast-Charging- Fast EV charging stations, which can recharge an EV in a matter of minutes, are critical for long-distance travel and mitigating range anxiety. Investing in the deployment of fast chargers along highways and in urban areas is a priority.
3) Public-Private Partnerships- Collaborations between public and private entities are key to scaling up EV charging infrastructure. Local governments can work with private companies to develop charging networks, ensuring both accessibility and reliability.

Widespread Installation: Increase the number of charging stations in high-traffic areas, such as shopping centers, office complexes, and residential neighborhoods. This ensures that EV users have easy access to charging facilities in their daily routines.Strategic Placement: Strategically place charging stations near essential locations like supermarkets, restaurants, and public facilities. This makes it convenient for users to charge their vehicles while engaging in other activities, reducing the perception of inconvenience.Integration with Urban Planning: Integrate EV charging infrastructure into urban planning and development projects. Ensure that new developments include provisions for charging stations to accommodate the growing demand for electric vehicles.Public-Private Partnerships: Encourage partnerships between the public sector and private businesses to invest in and deploy charging infrastructure.
माननीय प्रधान मंत्री जी, हर व्यक्ती को मुक्त अनाज देने के बजाय हर हात को काम मिले तो बेहतर होगा. ताकी लोग सन्मान के साथ जीए... धन्यवाद🙏
1) by introducing charging points in every housing societies and colonies
2) by introducing replaceable batteries and dealer network like LPG cylinders
Mostly there is no charging infrastructure in villages,so it should be get improved. And there are also electricity problems in villages,if charging station will get stopped due to cutting off power so the EV owner will be in problem and wait till hours.Instead of that the charging station should run on inverter so that EV owner would be tension free and will enjoy the ride.
EV charging points shall be planned and implemented for all proposed & existing multistoried apartment buildings. Risk assessment to be performed and necessary control measures shall be implemented by updating the National building code and must ensure local authorities are strictly follow the requirements.
The buildings parking areas need to have,
1) Fire detection and alarm system.
2) Water sprinkler arrangements.
3) Other fire fighting equipment (CO2 or DCP fire extinguisher trolleys)
4) Such buildings should engage trained Fire wardens as security guards. Building Societies should ensure Security contracts are reviewed and updated accordingly.

only easiest way is to open charge stations near petrol bunks.
this is the right place to create awareness too.
every village and streets of cities have petrol bunks.
