The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

To learn more about the Shoonya Campaign and discover the benefits of EVs, please visit the Shoonya campaign website at www.shoonya.info

whatever the policy, to protect the buyers of EV, there should be guaranteed buyback of vehicles considering 25 years life minimum. This should be the progress, Battery life for ever -no depreciation should be replaced on demand like Gold. Let govt show its confidence in this technology and use. How to make EV charging easy - should be as easy as switching a light, Y not a home charger - in public atleast for two wheelers multiple slot at minimum 2 level, -- every parking slot comes with charger. 0 idle time. technology that can charge on the move. accident compensation of hazards , the current replacement value , no questions asked.. warranties/guarantees enforced & any denial compensation 10x by courts in quick time - max 6 months. show us the customer is king and fail proof engineering. put your money where your mouth is.

To make EV charging more accessible and convenient, consider:
1. Increasing the number of charging stations in public areas like shopping centers, parking lots, and residential areas.
2. Implementing incentives for businesses to install charging stations.
3. Providing real-time information on charging station availability through mobile apps or websites.
4. Offering fast-charging options for quicker refueling.
5. Integrating charging infrastructure with renewable energy sources to promote sustainability.
6. Standardizing charging connectors and payment methods for ease of use.
7. Educating the public about the benefits of EVs and charging infrastructure.
8. Investing in research and development for innovative charging technologies.

Ev is one of the Modern , Infrastructure developed one.It is essential in our daily life to run our life style. This is convenient, and
accessible zero Emmissions in Towns and Cities.
Non EV can Release pollutents CO,CO2,CFCS,Nitrogen oxides and
sulpher dioxides. These Emissions or pollutents are preventing the development of Nation.
Harmful Micro-organisms directly enter to human lungs this lead to infect breathing system and lungs.
Automatic ly Reduce Body immunity power.
Some Bacterias are set as a complex ly. Co,CO2 enter into the
environment it should be lead to contaminate surrounding Atmosphere. Most dust particles are
Laden with a different types of micro organisms.
protection of Air & Environment is
every citizen primary Responsibility.
Every one Has to fallow Systemetic procedure
if we use EV save 20-80% fuel consumption.
Try to use EV and avoid use of fuel run vehicle. Please government of India has to give sum subcidey to use This EV.

Overall, developing robust and accessible EV charging infrastructure is essential for accelerating the transition to electric vehicles and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. Collaboration between governments, private sector stakeholders, and communities is key to building a comprehensive and sustainable charging infrastructure network.

You go at some EV charging station on highway and find there is no power at EV charging station. What would you do ? Wait for power to come and then start charging when your turn comes. Or expect that charging station shall have power back up like DG set.
Now, charging EV with DG sets is not at all carbon neutral.
Considering the availability of power in non metro cities and on highways, EVs have no advantage as far as reduing carbon footprint is concerned.
We have to keep in mind that most of the eateries or hotels on highways use DG sets.
In present day scenario, development of EVs can help in upgradation of auto sector having biggest non white collar job creation potential.
However, we can think of adapting hybrid technology. This can be somewhat more successful than full EV.

Sir,
using and modifying existing infrastructure would lead to faster adoption of EV. that is to say, installing charging facilities at large restaurants, shopping malls, movie theaters, I. e., places where people spend long time outside home.
More modes of public transport should be electrified and private modes such as taxis, or associated private transport infrastructure should be incentivised to shift to use of EVs.
FTA in energy sector with green energy rich countries should be promoted in sectors of education, energy and technology transfer.

Cont'd----The present world equation is petroleum vs battery. barrel rates gets adjusted to make battery & charging equipment with energy input not that viable. It's a fine balance between becoming green at a cost. Again there's a major issue of revenue from petroleum products vs self solar energy production which cannot be accountable. As our exports are low to the manpower available & to maintain imports + foriegn exchange reserves. It's my view with limited knowledge on overall energy scenario.Imports of petroleum, solar modules,Lithium battery cells & dependence on energy related products. I take it as an participation though I will get negative points as it's deviation from the subject.

EVS combo with Bio-fuel engine will be something excellent to give the user additional kms as an safety measure. The engine should be connected to an alternator we should be able to run at lower speeds to reach destination. This can prolong the battery life as the engine would meet the shortage of charge in battery. Everything revolves around battery cost, weight, max kms possible. Are we able to reduce the battery price by 1/3 rd of the present cost.
It's natural that the world demand for Lithium will further shoot up the price. Dependence on China will increase as they have mastered the art of producing cheap to make rest of the world incapable. Once they know you are dependent the price will be up.
The only formula is get rawmaterials cheap combined with high productivity & quality. The present world equation is petroleum vs battery. barrel rates gets adjusted to make battery & charging equipment with energy input not that viable. It's a fine balance becoming green cont'd ----

We have to consider following points:
1) Is generation of electricity used for EV charging GREEN ? Our 74% generation of electricity is from Coal. Which can not be called green energy. So the concept of EV is not going to reduce carbon foot print to a great extent.
2) Though government is going to promote Solar power. But actual availalable Solar Power in Power Grid can not be ascertained.
3) Nuclear Power generation is being pushed up. But knowing that capacity addition in this sector is quite slow, no significant contribution is expected from Nuclear sector in near future.
4) Manufacturing of relable long range batteries for EV is also not manufactured in our country.
So, why we are pushing for EV ?
We have not yet been able to developed a reliable CNG refueling network across country inspite of OEM CNG fitted vehicles being manufactured for a long time.
We have to re-think the whole scenario.
Some vested interests may be pressurising government to move ahead for EV.
