Smart City Amritsar

Start Date :
Oct 05, 2015
Last Date :

00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Amritsar - ‘The Holy City of India’ has been selected among 3 cities for implementing Smart City project in Punjab and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round ...
1. TAT (Turn Around Time) for each problem should be fixed and department not maintaining TAT should be penalized.
2. Single Helpline no should be developed for the convenience of citizens.
3. Flash reports of problems resolved & unresolved should be sent daily to CEO of SMART DEPTT.
4. Littering of garbage should be declared as default and financial punitive actions should be taken against garbage litterers.
Since smart city concept is going to be implemented by the existing authorities with the existing staff under them having the same mentality of shriking work & reporting the performance to none. So first of all its most important is to develop a common Platform connecting different departments of the city with the authority managing the smart city project called SMART DEPTT. So instead of public approaching different departments for different complaints should approach a common deptt
The main problem in amritsar i have seen is regarding sewage and garbage problem. There should be proper sewage system and solid waste managment system.
Main problem in Amritsar Is growing pollution should be controlled
IT Connectivity is needed in growing technology
Public transport should be fully operational
The main stress should be given to Garbage Disposal, Traffic Management and Air Pollution(specially dust particles due to lack of green fields). Street Light system and Traffic Light System needs fully renovated. Public transport system should be fully operational.
Following points can be considered for making Amritsar a Smart city:
1. Proper garbage disposal facilities and sewage treatment systems.
2. Planned construction in the city without disturbing the daily life of residents.
3. Increased use of solar energy and green technology..
4. Engage the budding engineers of the city in Digital India projects.
5. Consider smart traffic management and parking systems.
Make green belt nearby G.T. road
Instead of small plants proper trees should be planted
Road width of the Partap Bazar Chheharta
One more thing.......please stop constructions of bridges or other building in the name of development, which will prove like a white elephant.......because these kinds of projects are only beneficial for the government officials or private contractors to do corruption through these developmental projects.
Amritsar should be clean and Green that will be the ultimate wish of all Amritsari people, i hope........Secondly I hope migrated industry will come back and the city will regain its heritage or culture of walled city along with huge rush of tourists.
Proper traffic management and educate city people to follow traffic rules
