Smart City Aurangabad

Start Date :
Oct 01, 2015
Last Date :
Nov 26, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Aurangabad, a City situated in Maharashtra stands at the confluence of Ancient Cultural Heritage and Rapid Modernization. Aurangabad, One of the largest urban agglomerates in the ...
1. Road conditions need to be improved. Since the first impression as soon as tourists/visitors enters in the city is predicted by the road condition.
2. Rain water harvesting to be practiced regeresly.
3. Special/predecided places for hoardings.
Including Ajanta and Ellora, Aurangabad is having many well-known heritage monuments & tourist attractions and hence TOURISM is one of the main Economic driver of our City. In my view there is still large scope to develop our City as one of the best tourism destination through restoration and conservation of various structures & monuments as well as by creating tourism centric projects.
About Transportation, Roads:-
1)More AMT buses with good connectivity to all areas of city.
2)Proper city bus for crowded area.
3)Condition of bus must be good and pollution free, more fuel efficiency.
4)Heavy traffic roads must be of Cement(Maintenance free) and maintenance activity must be conducted in low traffic time (at night)
5)All city roads must be Encroachment free permanently.
6)Before making any colony, roads all water pipeline and drainage line must be ready.
About Energy/Water,Pollution:
1)Make all government services online (pay bill, getting certificates), all Gov. offices at one place or in one building. It will save fuel, time, paper, reduce traffic, pollution.
2)Use of LED lights (For House & government offices.)
3)Use of Solar energy for street lamp (renewable energy).
4)Big tree plantation (for fresh air/oxygen) on both sides of roads. Every Open space should be green.
5)Collection of Dust on road.
6)Water harvesting implementation.
We all know without basic facilities like sufficient water, electricity, House, transportation (public), connectivity (Airways, Roads, Railways) there is no growth of any city. Without fulfillment of these basic needs Aurangabad cannot become a Smart City.
Wastage of water from Paithan Dam to A’bad city must be stopped.
A’bad must be connected with other cities of Marathwada with good roads. Railways are best way of connectivity with other smart cities but issue with availability.
As Jalna road is life-line of the city, complete jalna road should be cement road from baba petrol pump to chikalthana. This will resolve most of the traffic problem of city.
ALL WORK IS GOING GOOD FOR MAKING THE SMART CITY WELL.....
4.Natural nalas in the city can be pirped and converted surroundings into gardens and walking pathways.
5.Eco-friendly activities should be promoted such as making paths for using bicycles, solar energy use promotion and rain water harvesting and planting of trees
6 Encroachment on road and side by road is major issue in city, it should be solved permanently
7.Plastic Garbage collector poor persons should be given intensive and recognized by rewards by municipal corporation to promote them.
Aurangabd, the historical city can be really smart city if focused on following points,
1.Muncipal offices should be neat and clean to make good working environment for staff and visiting citizens
2. Muncipal website should be smart enough to deliver almost all services online.
3.Citizens has to come to roads with vehicles most of times for visiting different government offices for different sanctions, certificates and paying bills. This traffic load can be easily avoided by online services
It should at least first make proper sewage in city. There's a lot of waste everywhere we can see. City bus should connect all the areas of city with maintained time of limit. For sewage we can see that work for underground is going and we r proud to see it being done.
