Hubli Dharwad is already selected as a solar city under MNRE , hence any smart city plan prepared should integrate the vision outlined in Solar city master plan , the stakeholder comiitee of solar city master plan may be also consulted to take inputs , Mysore Solar master plan may be also refered to get an idea into innovative projects as Mysore was the first city in Siuth India to be declared as model solar city
1.All major road of the city identified shall be rigid pavement with planing for provision minimum of 20 years of UGD lines/ water line/ OFC cable lines/ electric line gas lines etc prior to the Rigid pavements.
2. the major roads identified like roads width of 15mts , 18mts, 21mts etc shal1 not have parking at all, it should be free and minimum number of signals.
3. 12 mts road shall have parking on alternative dates road side for four wheels only.
4. 9 mts wide road shall have two parkings.

One main and very easy thing that we need to do is plant trees! We cannot keep complaining about the pollution, heat, lack of rain etc when we are doing things wrongly in the first place. So all we need to do is cut less trees and if we have to cut then plant some trees elsewhere
Hubli-Dharawad as a “Smart City” must have core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of ‘Smart’ Solutions. The focus is on sustainable and inclusive development and the idea is to look at compact areas, create a replicable model which will act like a light house to other aspiring cities.
