Lucknow is the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. A major metropolitan city of India. It is the second largest city in north and central India after Delhi. Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub and seat of Nawab power in the 18th and 19th centuries. It continues to be an important centre of government, education, commerce, aerospace, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry.

Lucknow Municipal Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to the city and welcomes the citizens of Lucknow to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, waste water management, affordable housing, energy efficiency, use of renewable and solar energy, non-motorized transport, underground electric cabling, open space development, safety, healthcare, education, culture and heritage, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle tracks, roads, underpasses, Fly overs, services such as e-governance tools etc.

Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for Lucknow and to get selected as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge round.

Government Officials which are responsible for public services must be available at proper timings, so a smart city portal must be display proper information about officer name and their duties and general public can contact online with the officials. The online services must also be in Hindi, and should display proper usage guidelines.

I live in New Hyderabad area and I found that police line colony road most of the persons use temporary electric connections (Katia) this type of connections may be present in other parts of the city. the electricity board terminate such type of unauthorized connections

1.better maintenance of public toilets 2.better sanitation facilities 3.better traffic policing 4.creation of multi-level flyovers 5. more community centres

Abhi tak btaya jata hai ki sharaab ka theka yaha nahi hona chahiye ciggratte public place mai nahi peebi chahiye par ab zaroorat hai ye batane ki kaha Karna chahiye ye sab. So create smoking and drinking zones in separate areas and maintain peace there.. This will create balance in society

1. To conserve energy, Street Lights can be installed with a LIGHT DETECTOR SENSOR. This sensor in installed in electric circuit of any light and if ambient light is good than it will automatically switch off the street light. This can save energy wastage in day time by automatically switching off street lights in day time. 2. Waste segregation and proper disposal is almost NON EXISTENT in our cities. We must start segregating Recyclable waste and Biodegradable waste
