Any city should have a infrastructure plan for future population growth in mind for the next 30 - 40 years. A smart city should have it for 50 -60 years which is required for any business to be cultivated. India as a whole should plan to a small town outside city and ensure people living there have adequate resources to lead normal day to day life. Business and companies should be spread around the city to ensure concentration is not in one side of the city. Healthy growth prospects is key.

FEW CITIES IN INDIA HAVE RIVERS PASSING THROUGH THE CITY AND MADURAI IS ONE OF THEM. IF WE CLEAN UP THIS RIVER, CONSTRUCT RETAINER WALLS/FENCING BOTH SIDE OF THE RIVER, CONSTRUCT 2 OR 3 CHECK-DAM SO THAT WATER IS STORED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, START WATER SPORT ACTIVITIES IN THE RIVER, THIS EFFORT ITSELF WILL BEAUTIFY THE CITY.
