It feels really great to be working in New Town, which is probably the smartest IT hub in Kolkata at the moment. The only drawback is the traffic...

I need some information on the best location for investing in New Town properties. Can anyone help me with this please? I am looking for something like a 2BHK apartment in this area? Will this be a good idea?

The streets and lanes shouldn’t be devoid of light as some residents (including women) return late from work. They should be able to travel safe and feel the same.

We must learn from those smart cities that have been able to incorporate principle technologies like information markets, social media, internet, etc. to enable economic growth, social mobility and well being.

I am waiting to see Rajarhat – New Town as a smart city. I guess the way things are turning out, this will be reality soon.

Mineral water stands should be placed near the mandaps as people may need it. I guess this is one of the advantages that a smart city should have at the time of festival.

The puja mandaps should have medical (first aid) facilities close to it. People, especially elder and children can fall sick at crowded places.

The accident prone areas need extra security and more traffic police as the chances of serious accidents and injuries increases during the Puja.

As Durga Puja is approaching, I find the major areas to be blocked often by heavy traffic. This causes delay for those who are off to work or need to reach somewhere fast. I wish the traffic police could help a little here.
