The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Main pillars for development of Pasighat would be Metro Rail and Flyovers all over the city with good 4 to 6 lanes road. This will directly help in easing out the traffic system of Pasighat. As the roads of this city in the world is too congested and are not wide enough to take the load of city's traffic. We should try to speed up the work of metro rail and flyovers on priority basis. Good Transport system is the main pillar of a Smart City.

Urban development should not misappropriated as real estate development at any cost. This mentality should change in a smart city. Pasighat was known as a clean and green city until recently. Now it is just another hub of unchecked concrete growth. Smart city should encompass revamping of sewage facilities, efficient waste disposal, planting and taking care of trees & cleanliness of lakes. Stress should be laid upon widespread usage of solar & wind energy in domestic activities.

We know about our pasighat transportation system. But surprisingly, no one's talking about the transportation. In my opinion, the basics of transportation needs to be redefined. Pasighat in my opinion has one of the worst traffic management among all the urban areas of the world. Because there were no traffic rule, No parking system on the roadside. We should introduce our traffic rule and regulation and established parking place for the vehicles.

In my opinion smart city mission should organised a programmed on the importance water in our daily life. Because we have seen that most of the people in pasighat, were waste their water supply, they tab were open and they don't store water for the future. so it's our duty to control over water for fulfillment of supply for all people of pasighat. And take necessity action towards the water problem in pasighat.

Even the best systems fail if there is no accountability. And in Pasighat,indeed India, there is zero accountability - for both citizens as well as public servants. Traffic policemen are not held accountable for their beats and drivers are not held accountable for where they park. The same goes for garbage collection, etc. In the private sector, if you don't do your job well enough, you are fired. Introduce the best systems and hold people accountable to them - that is the key to a smart city

Rule must be rules applicable on all without discrimination, A program to make the people responsible, irresponsible to be punished in a way which contribute toward development process.Good sanitation facilities, Better public transport system and encourage people to use.

I want to be Pasighat smart city. If road facility, women safety and most important thing provide poor people a better house and a good facility school where all the children and who are very poor cannot effort school. I want to be all the children of Pasighat will be educated and also for health centre for primary on secondary. If they all facility are in Pasighat then Pasighat become a smart city. So my last suggestion keeps your city clean.

• Proper maintain of drainage system • Market should made in one place, I mean in a particular place • Road facilities • Traffic facilities • Street light etc.

As we know that there is shortage of electricity in Pasighat,I would like to give a suggestion, it may cause conflict between citizen of Pasighat but i would like to say that a Dam should be made for Pasighat .but Pasighat may give supply to other state.
