Mostly buses are overloaded wid students so there shuold be some restriction to prevent risk of accident. Proper road should be there in every corner of mangaluru. In garbage management i appriciate because i use to see early morning workers cm to collect garbages but when they drive vehicle some pieces of garbage fall down out of vehicle on the mid way so there should be proper setting for that. And about driving i want to say that bus driving speed should be limited to prevent accidents.

According to me mangaluru is better city than other because i am not mangaluru citizen and i have been in different cities but in mangaluru i feel better. For making our mangaluru as smart city there should be little more improvement such as more security for girls then transport and environment and proper road. In transport system there should be restriction in overload of bus because overload increases more and more risk for accidents as i have seen in many place.

Unlike cities like Bangalore which have parallel corss and main roads, roads in Mangalore are like a tree - a main road (trunk) having branches and sub-branches. Such branches should be named in a predictable way so that addresses can be easily located. Example- Kembaru Main Road, Kembaru Branch 1, 2, etc., Kembaru Branch 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B (when sub-branches exist).

1) Build/install public facilities (such as public toilets, garbage dumps, parking places, bus stops) in a consistent and very predictable way so that even a new comer to the city can quickly know where to find these public facilities. Example, have garbage dumps on both ends of every zebra crossing.
2) If you can make every facility in the city disabled and elderly friendly - our city will be smart automatically. Good well maintained footpaths, city buses with step that can be lowered.
