Start Date :
Sep 24, 2015
Last Date :
Oct 10, 2015
17:00 PM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
The Kochi Municipal Corporation is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for SMART City Mission initiative of Government of India. In ...
1. Build proper roads with proper parking and pedestrian walkway.
2.Build fly over to reduce congestion and also build bypass to reduce city traffic.
3.bild multilevel parking areas near congested areas, railway station, metro stations, hubs bus stands etc.
4. Shipping sector should be focused and improve their efficiency.
5.Centralized transportation and govt systems.
6.Centralized gas water and electricity.
7.Plant more trees.
8.removal of flex boards
9.build parks
1.Government should provide a public transport rather than depending on private buses. If government solves this issue the accident rates can be brought down. Metro can be solution up to extend but I think we should have more KSRTC buses.
2.Government should provide a trash bin on all streets and a proper collection system, which can be done in the midnight.
3.Provide free Wifi access in main junctions
4.Government should promote and provide subsidy in solar panels and bio-gas
1.Waterbodies in and around should be cleaned .
2.A proper trash collection and disposal system should be introduced.
3.Busy and congested roads should be eitherwidened or converted into NO FOUR WHEELER roads .
4.Shipping and Ship building infrastructure and education should be improved.
5.Migrated laborers should be provided an identity card to keep an eye on them and their rights .
6.Buses should be provided with CCTV, GPS so that a citizen can move in and around with ease.
my suggestions as a citizen include
*development of a road from mg road to kakkanad.i heard corporation is laking some funds for the project
*craete many kiosks for helping outsiders when they reach kochi
*shouldcreate a flex free poster free city by implementing special zones for plcing flex
*plant a tree campaign among city students by creating student volunteers
already GCDA probably 2-3 yaer back had a programme named VISION 2030.i heard that it was a practical development oriented suggestions for making kochi city a GLOBAL CITY.honourable corporation can take the ideas from this programme and canbe a asset for further discussions
We need to improve quality of roads separate lane for pedestrians and cycle lane. More flyovers.. We should encourage public for using green power like solar.. Public friendly police and administrative offices
Government services should be 100% made online. Status of requests shall be provided to show real time for processing requests.
Apps/ system should be developed to address public grievances.
Local governments should have KPI/ KPA / yearly objectives and its performance/ results should be made public.( eg: proposed projects vs completion , air/ water quality levels )
GPS enabled monitoring/information on public transport systems.
Performance feedback mechanism for govt.
Air Pollution - The biggest threat in Kochi . I dont understand why there is no measure or action to stop air pollution especially the ones from vehicles. Why is there no regulatory to control and stop this? Pollution from Ksrtc buses , Auto rickshaws and other old vehicles are an absolute threat to humanity .
Roads and infrastructure - Roads in Kochi are the worst I have seen in South India. Even the NH looks like a mediocre road dull of Pot holes . Fundamental infrastructure!
to solve traffic congestion problem... we need to introduced 'reward system "
one who obey traffic signal traffic rule get reward point automatically...that they use to purchase app ,unlocking new level, for online purchase.
to use as fee for government works...vehicle puc.. in petrol and disel purchase

Sir we need to provide housing facilities with bio toilets for slums.Schools shall be Migrant labourers are another category who live in inhospitable conditions. They need housing s
facilities and compulsory registration with govt.Residential areas shall have bio gas plants to recycle waste generated.Solar panels can be installed on the roof tops of buildings.effective and fully functional grievance readresal mechanism.
