Recognising the universal appeal of Yoga, owing to its demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 11th December 2014 proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY). Since 2015, this day has been observed to remind people across the globe about the benefits of Yoga and build public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to public health.
The preparations for the 9th International Day of Yoga (IDY2023) have already begun, and the Ministry of Ayush (MoA) is looking forward to active participation from the citizens.

Every year IDY is observed with a theme. The themes of the previous years are given below:

8. 2022 Yoga for Humanity

With this backdrop, MoA invites all citizens to share their ideas on how to observe the 9th IDY with a theme. Name the theme and describe how to celebrate this IDY keeping the theme in mind.

Last Date of Submission is 31st March 2023.

YOGA: ABYASA VAIRAGYA
abyasa refers to a persevering practice, one that is fueled by the fire of discipline. Vairagya refers to a sense of non-attachment to the outcome.

the perfect definition and very futuristic approach towards YOGA can be -----
''prakriti ka kriti se yoga''
'' yoga - the comunion of nature with human ''
''yoga se prakriti tak ''

All these title means when the creator and its creation (humans) are in perfect comunion,
when they both work for each other ,
when we think of us, just not as an independent body, but as a part of this Prakriti who is surrounding us ,
and when we will think about the well being of the prakriti and our body Equally, that day will be the perfect yoga day. Becoz we exist becoz our prakriti exist ..
IT is at the verge of extinction and so do WE if we do not preserve IT, our physical YOGA won't be preserving, neither US not IT .. hum kitna bhi yoga kar le .

yoga is for the well being , sustainability of human soul, mind and body ..very good ,but what about the prakriti ? in which we r enveloped ?what about its sustainability? so now is the time for its conservation,preservation and development. And together we can make--

योगाभ्यास करने से मनुष्य के जीवन में आने वाले शारीरिक, मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक शांति के लिए योगासन बहुत लाभदायक है। इस भागदौड़ भरी जिंदगी में स्वस्थ जीवन जीने के लिए योगाभ्यास बहुत लाभदायक है। नीयमीत योगाभ्यास करने से शरीर की रोगप्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढ़ती है जिससे हमारे शरीर में रोगों से लडने की क्षमता बढ़ती है। इसलिए योगा एक तरह से मनुष्य जाति का जीवन रक्षक है।

Sir,
These days, people globally have been doing anything & everything in name of yoga.....

Request you to very categorically claim that yog & sadhna is the contribution of Sanatan Dharma and there is strict form and discipline around it...
For more than 1,000 yrs, these "so called religions" or Cults completely decimated original habitats & cultures & did cultural appropriation or genocides & they won't hesitate to do same to Yog & Sadhna as well. They shamelessly patented basmati & haldi even in modern age.

Therefore, do not give any gap/space to them due to lack of ownership for Yog & Sadhna. Otherwise, gradually they would either claim it originated in their fantasy /gossips/Sky books or make it sound very superficial & useless.

Kindly be clear that yog is about physical and mental health and it increases the potential to do sadhna and sustain kundlini awakening and also all other absurd versions that west etc are doing are unproven, unhealthy and not part of yog sadhna..

Mind is the essence of living being. Our experiences, feelings and the ability to think and act are all processed by our mind. In fact, our mind is so powerful that it can also affect our physical and emotional health. If the mind is getting used to its optimum, then it is our responsibility to keep this mind healthy and strong. A healthy mind keeps one calm and composed even in troubled times and enjoy what he/she is doing and helps in fulfilling once dreams. Then now how to keep mind healthy? Yoga can help a person do it. Yoga every day can be the energy booster that can help one stand up to life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence. The key is do yoga every day. Do it individually or with family or form friends group or attend yoga class and do yoga everyday for ‘Healthy mind and healthy future’
