PSB are having subsidiaries for main line banking products. Like Bank of Baroda is having BOBCARDS for credit cards and PNB is having a subsidiary for Housing loan. Take a case of BOBCARDS which takes care of credit card issuance and POS acquiring besides that it handles bank debit card operations. There is different team at bank for debit card and Payment gateway business. There should be a single team which can be achieved by merging BOBCARDS to BOB this can help reducing cost and improve BIZ

comparison of Public Sector bank with pvt sector is not justified as pvt banks do not participate in social cause and public facilities like pension payment, priority sector lending. Their participation is jandhan yojan is very limited. Their wage structure is different whose data has not been given here. Moreover public sector employees are are least paid sector in the country despite being a sector of highest growth rate. No incentive for a hardworking banker who works 9 to 9.

one of the major reasons identified for high incidence of NPAs in public sector banks is deficiencies in processing of proposals. All the proposals of above Rs.100 cr.(FB) and Rs.500 cr(NFB) should be vetted by a committee of RBI constituted specially for this purpose. Replies / rectifications submitted by banks for Annual Inspection Report of RBI (at least for serious irregularities) should be verified by RBI with in 3 months, without waiting till the next Annual inspection.

Please frame a policy for bank branches population wise to establish branches in rural/semi urban areas. Now a days in small villages which is near to urban areas most of the banks opened their branches. The result is instead of business improvement or benefits to the people, the capital/revenue expenditure is more. If we divert these funds to where banking facilities not much there like north east states/tribal areas it will help to grow for the STATE/INDIA.
