Tackling urban & rural cleanliness

Should issues of urban and rural cleanliness be tackled differently? Can a single approach provide solutions to all problems related to cleanliness?
i have not seen any initiatives from govt side to implement this...I am from gandhinagar gujrat....after swachh bharat initiative city became more polluted because corporation removed all the dust bin from the dumping area...people who are coming to collect the waste will not come on time.....
A great step in sewage management is to process then sewage in BIOGAS units and use the biogas as fuel. Not only this, the biogas sewage sludge which is left over can be used as manure or landfill for growth of POPLAR,which is a shrub which grows into adult plant size in under one year.So an ANNUAL POPLAR BASED SHORT ROTATION COPPICE can be initiated at urban level. This poplar harvest(WOOD) can be used BOTH FOR PLYWOOD MAKING AND THERMAL ELECTRICITY GENERARATION FROM CHARCOAL.PLEASE DON,T WORRY ABOUT CO? FOOTPRINTS WHEN I HAVE SAID'THERMAL ELECTRICITY' , BECAUSE THIS IS A CLOSED CYCLE CO? GENERATION.That means whatever co? is generated by this year's poplar is actually utilized by the next year's poplar crop. This technology is presently being used in England. The requirements needed for this project would be a large piece land, thermal electricity generation machinery, wood cutting manpower and machinery for cutting wood into small chips(for efficient combustion) as well as a very very efficient system for collection of sewage and organic waste. It is best if we can promote WASTE SEGREGATION AT SOURCE.The organic waste consisting of kitchen waste, dried biomass like leaves etc. can also be added to biogas chamber along with sewage. The non organic waste like plastic SHOULD BE RECYCLED.AGAIN FOR THIS ALSO,WE HAVE A GOOD TECHNOLOGY WITH ZERO CARBON FOOTPRINT AND THAT IS CALLED "solar rotational molding" by LIGHTMANUFACTURING.COM.By this technology we can mold the thermoplastic waste into useful products like dustbins, water tanks, etc.SPECIAL MENTION OF PLASTIC BOTTLES:THESE CAN BE USED TO CREATE MANY ACTIVE AND CREATIVE THINGS OF EVERYDAY USE SUCH AS TOYS,MONEY PURSES,ETC and even STREET LIGHTS.YES,STREET LIGHTS.VISIT liter of light.com to know more.PAPER WASTE CONSISTING OF papers ,cardboards etc. constitutes about 50% of an average Indian dustbin. All this paper can be recycled. Many of our municipal corporations are trying to get rid of all this waste by just incinarating it.BUT BELIEVE ME INCINERATION WON'T HELP IN THE LONG RUN.IT ONLY ADDS MORE CO?TO THE ATMOSPHERE.Waste segregation at source and proper processing of solid waste both from dustbins and latrines can alone help our 'SMART CITIES' to :
1)efficiently handle wastes
2)create more job opportunities
3)create a more eco friendly city with minimum carbon credits
4)create amenities such as plastic, wood, electricity, paper within the borders of the city so as to improve the services to people.
HOPING TO FIND ALL THESE TECHNOLOGIES IN OUR CITIES IN THE NEAR FUTURE
THANKYOU
Nowadays people of India are more acted towards reality shows
So turning whole Swatch Bharath Abhiyan as a reality Competition will increase the number of active Participants in Swatch Bharat Abhiyan
making cleaner public washrooms which are well maintained.
providing large dustbins at a distance of a km and, they should be cleared 2-3 times a day, cause they will be filled soon and if not cleared, the waste will fall on the ground.
factories which use non pollitig devises should get sun reduction in tax, then every factory will use non pollutants, resulting in much less polluted air, water and land. factories which don't should be fined. regular surprise inspections should be taken
swatch Bharath activity
Every measure will come to halt or fails, if proper planning is not being carried out. Primarily we are lacking implementation and secondly planning. No single approach can be solution to all. Beside all measure of cleanliness, a drive to clean (reduce) our population is also very much required. It is a matter of concern that the family planning is no longer being promoted as vigorously as it was done say 20 years ago. Many of the problems will get solve up to a extent if population is controlled
Hello sir, to make rural area clean we first have to do two things, 1st one is making biogas plant in every village or between two villages. So the main problem of pet animals excreta which is used to making vermiconpost in village nearest to road will be over. Villagers also get lpg facilities as fuel for home. So kerosene demand will be low also they get biofertilizers too. And 2nd one is making toilet in every home of village. This two decisions will clean 60% village itself.
Dear Sir
I hail froma small town where the people are not aware on not even the basic things. Your movement has certainly carved a niche in itself where everyone is thinking on the cleanliness in the respective surroundings.
Sir Everyone wants to contribute in building a clean india but there are certain amenities which are still required. whenever i move in a street, i do not find a dust bin or a garbage bin. please get this instilled in all the local budgets of municipal corporation.
I am suggesting to please have a standardized uniform and hygiene policy for our all cleanliness workers. Their health and working standards is equally an important issue.
Govt should not release total funds for Solid and waste management in Urban area. In case of urban rivers the corporation must remove the land acquired by the peoples, the demarcation of river, removal of soil(mud) Govt. must decide to allocate the amount for above mentioned work then after completion funds for both waste treatment released and monitor. Similarly in case of smart cities also.
