Reserved tickets can be booked at Computerised Passenger Reservation System centres operated by Indian Railways and also online through website www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved tickets ...
Sir,
if i would have to say anything about Indian Railway condition then i will say WORSE IN THE WORLD. first thing is that Many of time i have face the problem while booking tatkal ticket as it is known to all that most portion of the ticket are already booked even before opening the the tatkal booking. Secondly, i have not find any train arriving on time (i would like to mention train called Magadh Express, you would always find it late by 10 hour every day since departure from source station
I feel like backstabbing at every step in my own country. The same website allowed me to book the ticket when all seats were booked and I got wait-listed ticket for Tatkal. The question is why it allowed me to book the ticket at 10:20 am when it was giving me error when seats were available?
Don't you see something fishy or you don't care???

Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Do you really think IRCTC website is in government's control?
I was booking a tatkal tichek this morning. When seats were available the website said 'You are permitted only 2 Tatkal Tickets between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM per IP address'. The fact is I didn't book any ticket this morning. How this can happen?
Are you not seeing that the website is being controlled by the agents or the corrupt officials of your department !! I feel like backstabbing :(
#Achche Din ???? #NaMo ??
bribery and middlemen in tatkal system in railway booking is continuing. at 10 AM when tatkal booking start, normal citizen, who is entering the system without any tout, will not get it. only after all tatkal tickets are exhausted, he will get entry in that system. what is difference between bjp rail minister and congress rail minister?
Sir,
First My opinion that the reservation time period for booking ticket should be reduced from 4 months to least time whichever suitable. It's very difficult to plan journey after 4 months. I think it's also a plan to earn money so requested that if possible then please think about it.
Secondy, more important that Trains should be run on time.
The train tickets must not be priced higher at the time of festivals and when more demand occurs. The festival mood is lost because of this. Airlines are making losses because of differential pricing. We always live with budgets. When we go to other places we will think of the cost. It should not increase.
Also the tariff of Indian railways is lowest and it can be increased. But do not increase based on demand or festive reasons.
The mobile app should also be allowed in the morning.
Will it ever happen in India, that the passenger will be able to choose his preferred seat from a visual display of vacant seats as we do while booking air tickets of certain airlines or for movies?
I highly recommend using of flexible light weight and fast train coaches for:
smooth operations
easy movability
quick cleanness
fast movement
clearance of wait listing
if IR deploys light weight coaches it will improve time to accelerate, less burden on tracks, low fuel consumptions, also keeping coaches ideal in off season time will give full value of money since number of racks will use as and when required, thus requires less maintenance in idle time.
IRCTC online system should make system to disable person user friendly they must issue ID card through website or Local railway station not from DRM office.
There must be separate coaches for MSTs. It will reduce crowd pressure in general bogies.
