Department of Telecommunications (DoT) through their letter dated 27th February 2019 has informed that Indian Railways has proposed to install an Ultra-high-speed LTE based communication corridor along their network for Train-Ground and Train-Train communication. In this connection Indian Railways has requested DoT to reserve 15 MHz of spectrum in 700 MHz band for the purpose and to begin with 10 MHz to be allocated free of cost as the proposal is devoid of any commercial gain, but only for enhancing security and passenger amenities. Through the said letter, DoT has also requested TRAI to provide recommendations on administrative allotment of spectrum to Indian Railways and the quantum, price, appropriate frequency band (including 450-470 MHz band) and any other related issue.

A Consultation Paper on “Allotment of Spectrum to Indian Railways for Public Safety and Security Services” has been released to discuss the issues involved. Written comments on the issues raised in the Consultation Paper are invited from the stakeholders by 22nd July 2019 and counter-comments by 5th August 2019.

For any clarification / information Shri S.T. Abbas, Advisor (Networks, Spectrum & Licensing), TRAI may be contacted at Telephone Number +91-11-23210481.

Namaskar Respected prime minister In our country, there is more than 43 lakhs kilometres of road in addition to street roads. If we can arrest the rainwater at the road at the same place Earth will be recharged with water and this water will not go in drain. Thank you.

Spectrum allocation to railways is key demand of time. Like any other develop county have , given the recent case where train was stuck in center of flood . If there had been a microwave communication of any sort such disasters can be avoided and well communicated. India running world largest network of rails and often seen on back foot f this can also resolve and give a good resolution for on board tickets regenerated by TT . Challans etc can go on line .

1.As a measure to avert accidents, the trains are to be equipped with ‘ditch lights’ and painted bright yellow that will enable more visibility even during twilight hours. 2. The rail employees should be garbed in “high-visibility” clothes that can be worn round the year. A special heed is to be taken to ensure they wear it on duty at all times. The footwear and helmets are to be chosen by the employees that stay well within the allowance’s range and serve the purposes

Our govt. is very rich but at the moment I want FCI to take care over hungry passengers and hire all the train food providers and from that make all the affordable prizes for the food . Just FCI atleast can take over food security for prevention over poisness attacks by using foods .

Respected Sir Only passengers need to come at railway stations. Fast trains should have only chairs. There should be more sleeper class for long distance. Quality of food is an important issue. I have always enjoyed trains.Strict vigilance for no. Of passengers in one couch. Regards Anuradha gupta
