Train Enquiry System
Start Date :
Jan 01, 2015
Last Date :
Jul 17, 2015
04:15 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Train running status information is made available to passengers through website enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, mobile applications, SMS and IVRS at 139.Suggest solutions for ...
nice..apps
we nee to pay for this ivr and the person who pick the cal will not answer our query...
railway tickets enquiry is to poor in semi urban areas of country
enquiry about the train and near by station.
office at semi urban areas or taluka places or mandal
In telegram we created bot which can be used by anyone... which gives updates regarding trains.... we used this for trains b/w bengaluru & Hosuru...
Indian Railway can use this for other SubUrban trains also.....
railway enquiry system should be strengthened. like
1.) introduction of call centers in each station with contractual bpo employees with with reasonable salary.
2.) introduction of mobile app which are user friendly to track trains and reservation details.
3.) maintaining person to handle person who are of higher age and who are unaware of the station.
4.) having big display boards out side the station and smaller once on the platforms at suitable locations.
5.) display should be maintained in waiting halls.
Time is very precious everyone knows. Running trains on time should be the priority. Also an awake message or display within the compartment regarding next station name would help passengers to get down, especially in wee hours of early morning. Many times we had to wake up very early and eagerly looking at every station, but station will come after 3-4hrs later. In such cases, an awake/alarm, display will help more.
Train running system is improving day by day. I am suggesting that every train must have announcement system like metro train or shtabdi. The travelling passengers must be awarded about the status of the train in regular interval. So that they may plan about their further journey.
More than 139 SMS, It is important for Trains to Run on Scheduled time. Last month I had to get a train at 4 AM, but Train came at 6 AM. This is really a major problem for all of us. Please strictly allow them to be on Time.
And 139 SMS should be Toll Free. Please do not charge for it. Thank you ...
SUGGESTION:
It is observed that a drinking water is sold at exorbitant price ( bottle with MRP of Rs.12 is sold at Rs.20 in general ans sleeper coaches) huge number of plastic bottles in railway coaches and stations>This is injurious to health of passengers. My suggestion is to revive all the water huts and pyauu or parab at the railway stations with foolproof infrastructure and manpower as also adequate supply of potable water. If need be watercoolers be installed
139 number has to have a lot of lines to justify the population of the country . The enquiry system must entertain all kinds of enquiries and must always record the suggessions given by the passengers over the telephone as well .
