Train Enquiry System

Start Date :
Jan 01, 2015
Last Date :
Jul 17, 2015
04:15 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Train running status information is made available to passengers through website enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, mobile applications, SMS and IVRS at 139.Suggest solutions for ...
Station route map should be provided in all trains & also audio visual display installed in every bearth so that all the passenger are able to know the status of their destination. It helps the passenger to reach to their destination conviniently.
There should be a method to enqurie train schedule by user in railway stations. Few stations had it which was later removed.
Hotels can be given contract to have shop in railway stations, provide the information of available shop in the stations while booking ticket, food can be ordered online during travel or at the time of booking. It will incur revenue to the department from both the service provider and customer.Food can be provided in appropriate station,if possible at that coach
In mail, express trains keep dust been near every birth so that it reduce waste materials in rail tracks which travelers are throwing out.
Thanks to given chance to talk with my gov.
1. Government employes are not afraid of loosing job in any wrong duing or discripancy. Make them feel losing job as happens private sector. Much things will sort-out automatically.
2. Outsource the ticket checking system in stations(under surviliance) only and give them target of collection.
By throughout the garbage out of the window many non-biodegradable materials are left there on the track, which will never be recycle & reuse coz no one is there to collect that garbage in the hilly areas (many places in MP, MH & north-east).
So indian railway have to provide the proper dustbin and management to clean it on every major station...:-)
I know the contest was about Train enquiry system. But I feel the first thing that should get immediate attention is extreme dirtiness. In India, railway system is the main transportation system on which maximum people depend on. Please take a look on the attachment given below
Ticketless travel can be reduced by checking for tickets as people come into the station rather than while going out (buying tickets on trains should be banned). This will also reduce the huge number of persons on platforms without any valid tickets. Platform ticket prices can also be increased to reduce the pressure on platforms. Alternately, only travellers should be allowed on platforms (as in airports).
Accountability needs to be fixed among senior officials at Rail Bhawan Executive Director and above .Passengers need to be compensated for lapse in food safety standards. If citizen complaints are not redressed timely for such serious violation of food safety the Nodal Food Safety Commissioner Railways ED-Health and Nodal Public Grievances Officer -ED-PG should be held responsible for initiating action on the concerned officials within 30 days of receipt of the complaint.
