It is good idea to have an app or webpage to show current location of particular train which will have dynamic updates as the train moves. This will need to have GPS device installed in train. This idea can further be extended to display expected arrival time of particular train on railway station.
All peoples are having mobile now a days so all the transaction belonging to rail should do through mobile....
जाहे बात डिजिटल रेलवे कि हो डिजिटल भारत की, शुरुआत अच्छे,ईमानदार व योग्य अधिकारीयों /कर्मचारियों से होती है, इसीलिए पहले इनकी भर्ती का तरीका पारदर्शी (डिजिटल) होना चाहिए। चाहे रेलवे या एसएससी की परीक्षा हो आज-कल तो प्रश्नपत्रों का आउट होना जैसे सामान्य बात है, जो डिजिटल भारत /डिजिटल रेलवे के लिए धब्बा है।वहीँ IBPS/SBI प्रतिवर्ष सफलतापूर्वक ऑनलाइन परीक्षा करवाते हैं और लगभग उतने ही परीक्षार्थी IBPS/SBI की परीक्षाओं में बैढतें हैं जितने की रेलवे /एसएससी की परीक्षाओं
Please get IRCTC to develop Apps for mobile users for booking tickets. As of now we have to go through travel portal apps to do so. Which is waste of commission for IRCTC!
The TC's should carry PDAs which have access to all the tickets and seat records instead of carrying bundles of papers with him. If there is a centralized database for tickets, then he can verify information of passengers. And in case some passenger forgets to carry ticket or hi phone, then he can show the ticket to TC on his PDA. Also penalities could be charged using epayment at the same time in case someone want to pay using debit/credit card.
jodhpur-hawrah(12308 & 12309) train may be extended to Jaisalmer- Hawrah for better facilities to Defence personnels and border population.
Train must have compulsory reservation. If government can't bear passengers then train frequency must be increased depends on waiting list of that day.( Depends on load of journey) and send msg to unreserved people about upgradation and convenience. This will enhance income of railway. If train is full of unreserved people then what's benefit of digitalization. TC must have authority to take action against illegal traveler. The safety must be prioritized before any digitalization

Leverage the task of train location on the smart phone users travelling on board which can be reduce the load on the railway infrastructure to improve the same. This info can be extensively used by travellers to the accuracy of +/1 5 minutes & also shall help reduce the crowds on the railway platform.
