Train Enquiry System

Start Date :
Jan 01, 2015
Last Date :
Jul 17, 2015
04:15 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Train running status information is made available to passengers through website enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, mobile applications, SMS and IVRS at 139.Suggest solutions for ...
Every delay should be informed to passenger via sms. There is no need to enquire every time about train running information
The inconvenient part of Rly E tickets is only messages for booking of tkts are sent , but if trains get cancelled or route diverted then no messages are being sent to passengers thereby causing great inconvenience to them. My self a Station Master in Rly has to face lot of passengers complaints regarding this. So in train enquiry system a software should be developed so that any change of train schedule a message should be automatically sent 2 their mob no. Same could be done for counter tkts.
Common Screen or LCD should be provided in entrance of train compartment for the information of Next station, time remaining, train speed, delay information, and information of any accidents on current track in event of emergency.
Speakers are fitted on railway stations which announce the arrival & departure of trains . In the same way speakers should also be fitted in each coach of the train be it general class, sleeper class, 2 AC or 3 AC which should inform the passengers about any delay, accident & at the same time should communicate to the attendants about any innconveinence caused to the passengers
Make an app for it
An automate sms should be send on the mobile number registered regarding location of train whenever there is delay in train by more than 10 min.
1.make it free
2.increase band width of servers
3.increase speed
4.develop apps for the same

Railway can implement push notifications to passengers free of cost. For example wait list status can be sent, train delay intimations can be given to registered mobile numbers and emails without requiring a passenger to log into the train enquiry system
