Seating arrangement and Level of comfort - a comparison between our Indian trains and train from developed nations like China. Click to view image.
Do we really have the largest railway network like we think? Lets find out where we stand by viewing the image below,,,
Every year IR publishes its updated Time Table mentioning time for departure and arrival of trains. The same are also written in Rly. journey tickets. Can't we insure its punctuality by introducing compensation to passengers, if train reaches its destination very late? Amount of compensation be collected from the salary of erring officials (barring some untoward incidence).
Please involve with telecom companies. Treat this as continuation of previous idea.
Schedule a system that sends alerts on a customer request basis through a mobile app with all the relevant trains and give choice based on zone, route, and use intuitive coding of railways routes where the code has inherent meaning built into it with the latest state. Show the seat status of all the lower berths and tell them how many upper berths are vacant in a summarized report manner.
Every Indian takes services of IR despite repeated unpleasant experiences. Areas of concern - punctuality, availability of tickets, cleanliness, 3rd class civil or maintenance works and security of passengers. Rly invests sufficient fund in all these areas, still we get substandard works and services. May I be allowed to say that absence of accountability, inefficiencies, unclear priorities on the part of Rly officials are the basic reasons behind all this mess in the Rly?
