Vadodara has been selected in the list of 100 Smart cities under the Smart City Mission of Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India launched in June 2015, and is ...
solar energy push
We need to set our priorities and then implement effective solutions with a holistic approach.
Below are some of the issues that need to be addressed to make our Vadodara Smart (and Happy) City:
1. Cleanliness
2. Rainwater harvesting
3. Sewage/Wastewater/Effluent treatment
4. Public transportation
5. Public participation in decision making meetings of Wards
6. Vishwamitri riverfront project
7. Solar projects
8. Trees plantation
9. Ban on non-reusable plastic bags
10. Roads & Traffic
9. Traffic rules: The Roads must be leveled properly with the gutter lids.
* Propper arrows on the road and sign boards beside roads. use of embossed paints.
* Strictly following of zebra crossing, with pedestrian first mind set.
* Priority lane for Ambulance & Public transport, private vehicles obstructing them, must be fined.
* All Street lights and traffic lights should be consume only solar energy.
8. Traffic Rules: Integration of CC-TVs at all signals with automated fine for breaking signals. it can be done by chip-based number plate and RTO account registered with initial sum of 1000 rupees, from which the fine money can be deducted. There must be an IT team working 24x7 in traffic dept to look into these issues.
5. Cleanliness: Dust Beans on equal distance must be provided, and citizens must be forced to use it. not doing so should be penalized with innovative punishments.
6. Stray/Street dogs; spaying surgery for birth control
7. Housing for Poor: proper shelters for poors and slums must be replaced with multistory appartments.
3. Roads: Layer on layer coating of roads must be stopped. must follow some proper guideline while making roads, as well as keep the road equal level with gutter lids. not doing so; contractors should be punished.
4. Internet: All the internet+electricity wires must be underground. and new constructions must keep plug-n-play nodes in all rooms/halls. no open wires on streets and roads.
1. Water: Need Rain water harvesting system for every drop of water in all areas
2. Legal: Neighbourhood police stations with marshals just for normal, Residential, non-criminal offences with quick action and complains. the level of procedure must remain lowest (i.e. no court intervention, short out on ground with mutual agreements)
i would like to suggest the another topic that is "PLASTIC BAG".Plastic is prevalent in our lives. environmental costs are burdensome for communities and the planet, the cost of plastic bags for retailers is pretty low.so,kindly request that please prohibited on the "PLASTIC BAG"for all retailers & any kind of purpose.it is dangerous for people & also a animals.
in our city, make our city to smart;the another improvement in our city is that based on the "HOW TO USE A GARBAGE TO CREATE ELECTRICITY'?There is so much garbage on this city that wind up the dumpings for generate electricity. This garbage, however, could be used to generate power so it is a resource that is being considered useful. Biofuel can be made from processed garbage, which would replace gasoline and decrease global carbon emissions by 80%. so,,think about this topic.
Pl. see my attachment about the suggestions for smart city, vadodara.
