Unused spaces below Railway Over-bridge flyover can be given on lease to railways and Food Corporation of India for keeping food grain clean, healthy and safe. We already had land we just had to build 4 walls to protect as all the bridges are in radius of 5 KMs from railway station. As the bridges are made in blocks so the empty spaces under bridges are in blocks which can be must useful for Food Corporation of India as they can preserve different Food grain and Fruits in different Blocks

I have incorporated a method that I called "Smart Cities Wheel"that can be used in order to build smart cities. It is a 12 Key performance based convoluted module that will take the entirety of a city.

For #Vadodara Being a #smartcity,In my opinion,Surat is Best example. If #Vadodara follows Development model of surat...surely it will lean in direction of #smartcity in next 5 years...Otherwise i don't see any chance of becoming #smartcity looking into current political situation in #vadodara. One Example..#Vadodara should start cleaning at nights like Surat to make it clean city...Where in #Vadodara door to door fecility has failed on which every citizen of #Vadodara will agree Unanimously..

Unused spaces below 1 Flyover can take around 200 2-wheelers Appox from all side. If VMC charges Rs. 10 for 12 hours parking with safety i.e VMC can earn Rs 10x200= Rs 2,000/- daily for 12 hours only and for 365 days 24x7 service it can b around Rs14 Lacs (200 vehicles in day and night for 350 days) and many people don’t park their vehicle for 12 hours. 14 lacs thru 1 flyover only, in vadodara there r around 10 and many under construction. so thru these 10 flyover Rs 1.4 crores can be generated

People here are giving suggestions which seem to be very good to listen but actually overlooks the basic necessities. For a city it's backbone is the public transport system. Sorry to say but my dear Vadodara lacks it. The Vadodara municipal corporation is unnecessarily running behind projects like BRTS and Metro while the city does not even have a proper city bus system. It's high time a proper city bus system is developed to take the city one step closer to being a smart city.

A great step in sewage management is to process then sewage in BIOGAS units and use the biogas as fuel. Not only this, the biogas sewage sludge which is left over can be used as manure or landfill for growth of POPLAR,which is a shrub which grows into adult plant size in under one year.So an ANNUAL POPLAR BASED SHORT ROTATION COPPICE can be initiated at urban level. This poplar harvest(WOOD) can be used BOTH FOR PLYWOOD MAKING AND THERMAL ELECTRICITY GENERARATION FROM CHARCOAL.PLEASE DON,T WORRY ABOUT CO? FOOTPRINTS WHEN I HAVE SAID'THERMAL ELECTRICITY' , BECAUSE THIS IS A CLOSED CYCLE CO? GENERATION.That means whatever co? is generated by this year's poplar is actually utilized by the next year's poplar crop. This technology is presently being used in England. The requirements needed for this project would be a large piece land, thermal electricity generation machinery, wood cutting manpower and machinery for cutting wood into small chips(for efficient combustion) as well as a very very efficient system for collection of sewage and organic waste. It is best if we can promote WASTE SEGREGATION AT SOURCE.The organic waste consisting of kitchen waste, dried biomass like leaves etc. can also be added to biogas chamber along with sewage. The non organic waste like plastic SHOULD BE RECYCLED.AGAIN FOR THIS ALSO,WE HAVE A GOOD TECHNOLOGY WITH ZERO CARBON FOOTPRINT AND THAT IS CALLED "solar rotational molding" by LIGHTMANUFACTURING.COM.By this technology we can mold the thermoplastic waste into useful products like dustbins, water tanks, etc.SPECIAL MENTION OF PLASTIC BOTTLES:THESE CAN BE USED TO CREATE MANY ACTIVE AND CREATIVE THINGS OF EVERYDAY USE SUCH AS TOYS,MONEY PURSES,ETC and even STREET LIGHTS.YES,STREET LIGHTS.VISIT liter of light.com to know more.PAPER WASTE CONSISTING OF papers ,cardboards etc. constitutes about 50% of an average Indian dustbin. All this paper can be recycled. Many of our municipal corporations are trying to get rid of all this waste by just incinarating it.BUT BELIEVE ME INCINERATION WON'T HELP IN THE LONG RUN.IT ONLY ADDS MORE CO?TO THE ATMOSPHERE.Waste segregation at source and proper processing of solid waste both from dustbins and latrines can alone help our 'SMART CITIES' to :
1)efficiently handle wastes
2)create more job opportunities
3)create a more eco friendly city with minimum carbon credits
4)create amenities such as plastic, wood, electricity, paper within the borders of the city so as to improve the services to people.
HOPING TO FIND ALL THESE TECHNOLOGIES IN OUR CITIES IN THE NEAR FUTURE
THANKYOU

VMC should start a Campaign called “Donate a Dustbin for our City” on their site, starting from small to Big Dustbin. It can be called as PPP (Public Private Partnership) with 60% investment from Private & 40% by Municipal Corporation. It will increase number of dustbins & reduce investment by corporation or state Government
Those individual/organization will donate the Dustbin to city his name or organization name will be written on dustbin on 2 sides with normal/radium
