Punishment should be severe... Eve teasers should be put in jail for 10 years... For Harasment it should be 25 years... If he is a Teacher.. His certificates along with his family certificates,Govt Issued ID cards and properties should be siezed by the Govt. He sholud not be imprisoned as he should be the worst example for others. For Rape, the person has to be hanged within a week without mercy, that should be a live telecast. I am against "Hang". But he has to be punished without mercy.
Please Do BAN Negative Publicity regarding Women in India. In USA or all over the world it's violence rate is high compare to india. Please Please requesting sir , there are international entities ( International Media & all ) are dividing indian men and women. If you do not stop negative publicity about indian men and suffering indian women. We are seeing in US , indian women are not at all interested in indian guys anymore. It's creating big gap in generation.
I DO NOT SUPPORT BAN ON PORN: First the police should have the mentality that they are here to serve the people, not the other way round, Educate moral values towards women from childhood, it has to come from the family and surroundings, increase police patrolling at night...
WHY ANY TRUE INDIAN SHOULD SUPPORT BAN ON PORN OR ALL SEX-ENTERTAINMENT WEBSITES.
I support ban on porn sites. Actually “porn” is misnomer. The ban and the argument/submissions from govt should be to ban all “sex entertainment” websites. We should allow only educational sex sites under verification by ombudsman.
Online sex is thousand times dangerous than drug addiction. How can government allow society’s morality to degrade by approving addictive and dangerous habits.
Educate women to speak up about violence or inappropriate behavior from a young age. This again has to be communicated across on a large scale to the uneducated masses all over India. Ask people not to hush up serious matters reported by a woman in their household. Only if everyone comes out in unison against the perpetrator can the next crime be prevented. Set up neighborhood watches like in the US and Canada. Regular citizens can monitor unwanted elements and report them as needed.
Another idea is to start a mass campaign across India to educate the uneducated men of India about the repercussions of rape and crimes against women. Many times men commit these crimes without knowing that he could get in trouble for it.Distribute flyers, show ads on TV, broadcast it on the radio, newspapers any means possible. Keep drilling it in. In every language of India. Catch hold of a Amitabh or a Sachin or Shahrukh to communicate this message to the remotest of the remote regions.
Punishment for crimes against women needs a rethink. It should range from heavy fines to life terms to monitoring their movements through devices implanted in their bodies. Death penalty should be given for rape. Hang them. Minimum should be 15 years in prison. This should be a deterrent.
To respond to the earlier poster, there is no correlation between alcohol abuse and violence against women. In the west alcohol is part of their culture but women are safe. In fact most acts are committed by people who are non-alcoholics. There are crimes against women in the middle eastern countries too. Alcohol is prohibited there. But key difference is laws are stricter and very harsh there. Men are scared to commit crimes.
them redressed.
