Dealt with Consulate General of India office in SFO twice, a bad experience, Specifically in 2013 when I had to renew my passport, consulate had outsourced work to a shady agency (BLS) from which office my new and old passports were stolen, I tried to contact (email/call) consulate but could not. Stolen passport are national security risk, still consulate ignored my emails and calls, to get a police report from agency was a mammoth task. Officials in consulate should help when such issues arise.
Indian Embassy across many country is rude, I have experience of Japanese embassy in Tokyo. They think that they are superior species and we are filthy creatures. Most of the embassy officials are busy in showing up getting perks. Specially the Ambassadors of every single country needs to be thrown out, given to Young management people. Many secretaries live in Tokyo like it is their permanent job, some of them are here for 10 years. Destroy IFS, send IAS to IFS as part of their career, 2 years.
Namaskar Shrimaan Pradhan Mantri ji, It is very unfortunate that Indian Embassy of New York are not treating us very well. We did not had a good experience at the time of Passport renewal. They asked for so many notarized copies which we were not aware of. And each notarized copy is around $5 and in some states, it is illegal to notarize documents.
I think the Indian Embassy needs to offer more services that cater towards citizens of India. If one take's a look at the United States, their embassies boast many services that they offer to their citizens, such as impeccable emergency services. While some of these services may be available to Indians at the Indian embassy, they are not well publicized and thus lead one to think that they are not available. The government should take a stronger stance in communicating services on social media.
Dear Prime Minister, I have great admiration and respect for the work you do. Here is a concern regarding PIO cards: Paid the PIO card application fee for my son around Jan 12th via CKGS website and shipped docs on Jan 15th. On Jan 18, the Houston embassy put out a message that effective Jan 9th, PIO cards are discontinued and any new applications will be sent back on applicant's cost. Why couldn't the embassy publish the circular on Jan 9th and why did CKGS accept fee for PIO card on 1/12?
I live in London n visited embassy here I needed to go there at about 6.30 am as people start queue from 5 in morning in cold weather until embassy open there were more thn 100 people n staff was very rude. Not enough counter to serve.
Not enough details available on high commission website. In London bhartiya are in vast majority so need to be serve in better way with high value of services. If u just check high commission website reviews you will know how bad is it. Sir pls do something abou
Indian embassy at London has given me a valuable services. They deserve an appreciation and I'm happy that they have made my job simple. Thanks to you.
Worst service: Indian Embassy San francisco:
it is sad to write, but it is truth. Indain embassy in san francisco treat us as animal. i had visited there to get attested my power of attorney documents. i spent one whole day for one signature. all the counter would get close on time written, but it would never open on time.
people would keep chit chatting, having tea even if there is big queue. pathetic service. Indian embassy in SFO work as good as any govt office in india.
I've been to the high commission in London atleast 5 times and every single time the experience was very bad. First their website is obsolete where information is either missing or confusing. Secondly there is no appointment system everyone including old, disabled, small children have to wait in queue for hours. Third, when you finally make it to the counter, the staff is rude and couldn't care less about your convenience or agony.
Well I afraid but I also had very poor service got at Indian embassy at London the fact of story is unfortunately I been five time indian embassy at London UK in year of 2012/13 I must say It was worst experience ever I had in my life in terms of service was provided by them for example management ,environment ,communication ,facility's even was worst I would not be happy totally mess totally mess I would suggest that they must shut rather they made us Shem in abroad .
