Smart India Hackathon - Prime Minister's Address

Finally, the day you have been waiting for has arrived! Smart India Hackathon 2017 Grand Finale begins tomorrow i.e 1 April, 2017 at 8 am. It is heartening to receive such overwhelming response from students across the country. We know all of you are quite excited about the event. Here’s another big announcement to amp up your excitement!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the participants of Smart India Hackathon 2017 tomorrow i.e 1st April at 10 pm through video conferencing.

It is worth mentioning that various departments and Ministries of the Government of India have identified 598 problems to which 7,531 teams of approximately 42,000 students responded. Amongst them, 1266 teams of 10000 participants from 28 States are shortlisted for the finale.

With more than 10,000 programmers participating, this would be the largest Hackathon in the world.

Smart India Hackathon is an ambitious effort to evolve out-of-the-box thinking in young minds and find ingenious solutions to the problems of social importance. Let’s gear up to make this a successful event!
