The aim of this task is to receive ground level and objective feedback on the working of an ITI or Polytechnic. For the participant, the task gives him or her a first hand ground view on the functioning of an ITI/ Polytechnic and at the same time enables the ITI to get enriched by the expertise brought by the participant. T his feedback would be beneficial for the Government in enhancing the network, courses and other aspects related to ITIs.
ITI are not well equipped and not supporting the technicians in laboratory, they are only providing certificates which are not useful in private sectors because they want skilled persons, it must be taught in vernacular languages so that techinicians easily understand the matter, employment exchange officials must visit college premise so technicians must get job in the desired sectors, companies must be encouraged to get employees from these exchanges, well knitted network between company need
i am stating here state of fire safety institute of India, there being only 1 government of India institute National fire service college which awards the officers degree/certificate courses, however off late it has been found that people are inducted for courses without any exams and they show only attachment with any industry(mostly false) leading to deterioration of quality of fire officers which institute is producing also the degree course has'nt been started as of yet due to neglect of MHA

Sir,I have visited tarsali ITI,Vadodara. Also done Course of Hi-Tech department in PLC they are having very age old instruments and also the mentor was marketing his personnel institution....no doubt this course I have done in my college days few years back but I am sure present situation is as it is...now this tutor is changed but equipment has not changed ...
Presently the quality output from ITI s and polytechnics are far from required level due to poor education standards of the state..There should be a common entrance test for polytechnic and ITI products through out India to grade the quality among them. Then only employable skills will get developed..Motivation towards starting small scale industry should be prime motive of ITI and polytechnics. The curriculum should direct the student for that target. The teachers quality is well below the limit
I visited 'The Rajasthan PVT ITI' Mandore,
It has two streams diesel and electrician. the lab of both streams is full of equipments.
overall it is nice to see that some institutes are working good for ITI'S
ppp model for iti's can be more fruitful for skill development as private sector is giving more facilities as i saw in The Rajasthan pvt ITI.

the culture of industrial training should be spread to medium and small scale industries. Industries should be encouraged to provide various courses in industrial training at their plants. For eg. training in mechanics, in electronics, in construction, operators.
When thousands of industries across the countries create such courses, the new generation will have a skilled force at their disposal.
This would also uplift the overall standard of living when major population is skilled.
The objective of opening of ITI is provide technical manpower to industries. These persons are trained in basic skills required to do jobs of say operator or a craftsman. The course in ITI is designed in way to impart basic skill in the trade specified. The duration of course may vary from one year to three years depending upon trade opted. ITI qualified persons can set up their own garage, motor/generator/transformer winding shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted.
