Coming from a remote village in Bihar, some practical steps are :- (1) Separate Toilets for Boys and Girls along with separate tube-wells(Water tap) , (2) Place of Toilet should be away from public View, must be close to school building and certainly not far away from the school building. This will enable them to have the confidence to use it. Monitors and concerned teachers to ensure that the person using toilets use proper water to clean it. Making it conditional for teachers promotion etc.

The responsibility and construction work of toilets for girls has to give to the respective Gram panchayaths, they are having some funds and they can maintain neatly. and School management/Headmaster has to observe the work of Gram panchayath and they should also have some authority to esquire about neatness about toilets.

The problem with toilet facilities in schools is two folds - A. Construction of such toilets and B. Maintenance of the toilets. Both the aspects needs to be dealt with independently. A - Construction of toilets is resource based problems which could be solved by allocation of resources either by public or private sources and ensuring effective utilization. B - Maintenance of the same will however require effective planning to ensure continued and long term benefits from steps taken under A.

nothing special is needed........ a small space to accomodate 4-5 small toilet rooms, with dustbin in eACH OF THEM.... one tap in each and one appointed person to clean it daily. school staff should well encourage the student to keep it clean. they wil definitely adhere to it

Empower a Mother NGO for each state and that Mother NGO should empower a local NGO for each district which further can empower block level NGOs. But mind it well no organization run without funds so we should feed proper funds (without file charges) then and only then proper construction and maintainance can be achieved. NGOs can also contribute small part of funds if conditioned.

there should be a campaign in every remote areas, villages by the govt or by the intellectual persons. But before that we have to change our thinking towards girls, i recommend we people together can change our society, we should not spare the rapist. As Modi ji said "ladko se b puchna chahiye kahan ja rhe ho, kiske sath ja rhe ho", but "boys should also inform their parents where they are going".
