As part of the Republic Day Celebrations 2026, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, warmly invites citizens—particularly students and young music enthusiasts—to participate in a nation-wide Singing Competition centered around the iconic national song “Vande Mataram.”
This competition provides a platform for participants to express their creativity and patriotic spirit by presenting their own unique rendition of the song. Whether sung in a classical style, recreated with folk elements, performed as a contemporary piece, rendered as a group performance, or expressed through instrumental music, each entry will celebrate the timeless legacy of Vande Mataram.
The contest aims to honour the emotion and pride that the song evokes, inspiring unity, courage, and love for the nation across all ages.
Participation Guidelines-
1. Participants must record a video of themselves singing Vande Mataram and submit the entry on the official MyGov portal via an accessible link.
2. The video/song duration must not exceed 2 minutes.
3. Each participant may submit only one entry.
Gratifications-
1. Top 3 Winners: ₹10,000/- each
2. Top 200 participants along with one companion (spouse/guardian/relative etc.) would be invited for witnessing the Republic Day Parade, 2026 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.
