UNESCO, a specialized agency of the United Nations, fosters global cooperation in education, science, culture, and communication. Established in 1972, the World Heritage Convention aims to safeguard sites of outstanding universal value. India boasts 42 World Heritage Properties, comprising cultural, natural, and mixed sites, with an additional 51 on its tentative list for future nomination. These properties encompass diverse cultural and natural treasures, including religious monuments, historic urban areas, and biodiversity hotspots. Since ratifying the Convention in 1977, India has actively supported its objectives, serving on the World Heritage Committee for multiple terms.

This committee, composed of representatives from member states, oversees the implementation of the Convention and convenes annually to evaluate nominations and address conservation issues. This year, India is honoured to host the 46th World Heritage Committee Meeting in New Delhi from 21st July to 31st July 2024, where representatives from member states discuss and decide on matters related to World Heritage Sites.

To create a memorable visual identity for the event, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with MyGov, invite creative minds to design a logo for this event that effectively represents India's World Heritage sites.

Technical Parameters:
1. The primary objective of the logo design is to establish a compelling and easily recognizable visual identity representing India's World Heritage and its broader cultural heritage.
2. The design should be simple, ensuring it is easy to recall and recognize.
3. The proposed Logo can be of any geometrical shape.
4. Participants should upload the Logo in the Vector SVG format & should be in high resolution with a minimum of 600 DPI.
5. Optionally, the logo may be accompanied by a tagline or slogan relevant to the theme. This tagline can be self-written or sourced from scriptures or ancient texts but must be thematically related.
6. If a tagline or slogan is included, it should be seamlessly integrated into the design of the logo itself.
7. Each logo design entry must include a brief write-up or explanation of a maximum of 250 words. The write-up should elaborate on the concept behind the logo, including insights into the chosen logo's colour scheme, typography, and tagline. The explanation should articulate how the symbolism and significance of the design convey the theme of India’s world heritage.
