The goal of Swachh Bharat is to provide access for every person to:-

Sanitation facilities including Toilets, Solid and Liquid Waste Disposal Systems, and clean surroundings.

We have to achieve this by 2019 as a befitting tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.

Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), the Goal is now to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019 by construction of individual, cluster & community toilets; and villages will be kept clean, including through solid and liquid waste management through Gram Panchayats. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India seeks entries for creating a slogan for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The last date of submission is 19th September, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded as under:

1.   First Prize       - Rs. 25,000/-
2.   Second Prize   - Rs. 20,000/-
3.   Third Prize       - Rs. 15,000/-

Slogan: SWACHH BHARAT KI EHI PUKAR, HAAR SUBHIDHA HO APKE GHAR.

To make the mission ‘Open Defecation Free India’ a reality, let’s have a dedicated slogan for it: MERE MAAN SAMMAN KI HAI PEHCHAN, MERE GHAR MOHALLE ME SHOUCHALYA KA STHAN. And for clean villages including waste management under general cleaning mission which is equally important, let’s have a different slogan: 1.SUKH SAMRIDHI KI PAHLI PEHCHAN, SAAF SUTHRA MERA MOHALLA AUR MAKAAN 2.SUKH SAMRIDHI KI PEHCHAN PAHLI, SAAF SUTHRA MERA GHAR MERI GALI (details attached)
