Digital India Brief
Digital India is a Programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
It is an 'Umbrella Mission' – covering many departments weaving together a large number of ideas and thoughts into a single, comprehensive vision so that each of them is seen as part of a larger goal. Many existing schemes will be restructured, re-focused and implemented in a synchronized manner with transformational process improvements.
Vision of Digital India is centered on 3 key areas:
• Digital Infrastructure as a Utility to every citizen
• Governance & services on demand
• Digital empowerment of citizens
The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) seeks inputs to design the Logo and create the Tagline for Digital India initiative.
The last date of submission is 31st May, 2015.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
The entries shortlisted earlier through the two contests would also be considered during fresh evaluation. The entries received earlier through 2 contests in Aug-Sep, 2014 and Jan, 2015 was evaluated and committee felt to make another attempt to receive some more innovative and creative logos and taglines for an ambitious ‘Digital India’ programme.

Digital India - Logo represents the cloud symbol which forms the on demand service and archival of files in cloud.Inside the cloud symbol picture depicts the digital connection providing all the information to the citizens from anywhere and at anytime.The bottom part of the cloud depicts the 'D' the digital and the entire logo depicts the umbrella mission.

My tagline for Digital India will be
"Empowering India - Governance on Click"
Logo depicts people having access having to Digital Indian infrastructure (hexagonal shaped double E in national colors),from all corners (E- placed in center).Slight shade in green color is used to differentiate between Government and people.

Tag line : Towards Progress
Meaning of Logo : Center of a logo is like digital input output sign that is 1 & 0. Also define a Power symbol. In round circle there are some person capture power from center. I also define 24 person out of the round that is same number of count in "ASHOKCHAKRA". I put some black & white images it shows that we can use the logo in any of the printing format like screen, embossed etc. We can also make stamp very easily. Thanks...

I am showing the connectivity happening between two people through mythological example. The whole idea of cloud is that all citizen entitlements and government documents/certificates to be available on the cloud to ensure easy access as it represents the cloud computing.
Hence the CLOUD form.
