Smart Cities Mission
The purpose of the Smart Cities Mission is to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of people by enabling local area development and harnessing technology, especially technology that leads to Smart outcomes. Area-based development will transform existing areas (retrofit and redevelop), including slums, into better planned ones, thereby, improving livability of the whole City. New areas (greenfield) will be developed around cities in order to accommodate the expanding population in urban areas. Application of Smart Solutions will enable cities to use technology, information and data to improve infrastructure and services. Comprehensive development in this way will improve quality of life, create a clean and sustainable environment and apply Smart Solutions to infrastructure and services in order to make them better which will make Smart City a model to be replicated.
Ministry of Urban Development invites citizens to design a Logo and create a Tagline for ‘Smart Cities Mission’.
The last date for submission is 4th May, 2015 by 3.00 p.m.
Cash Prize for winning logo: Rs. 25,000
Cash Prize for winning tagline: Rs. 10,000

Hello india,
i would like to submit my logo & idea for "smart cities mission"
idea: a smart city should have good infrastructure, international standard skyscrapers, flyovers, good public transport facilities like metro & mono rails so that public will have more convenience. wifi & broadband internet connectivity for better communication but the most important thing is we should not ignore "trees" just b'coz a better environment will let us survive better in this world.
