The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Digital India logo. Each "i" represents common man. Making digital communication accessible to every person under the roof of EGovernance. Colors symbolize national tricolor, representing national integrity.

Vision of India digitally powered by satellite and Chandrayan by ISRO. The logo signifies following
1. Digitization means growing on digits i.e only two digit 0 and 1
2. A satellite, through which beam of information in 0 and 1 bits are collected by local station or antenna and all those messages are transferred by modem modulator to TV, mobile, internet etc.
3. Our vision of digital eyes will be password to our success as Indian
