The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Greetings sisters and brothers, this is my logo submission for Digital India, inspired by the Charkha, made from digital units of zero (0) and one (1), incorporating the three key areas of the umbrella unit. Overall forms a "D" and "I" It shows people at the periphery using the infrastructure, lines of digital empowerment, and the synergy of good governance, keeping India progressive and number One in digital harmony.
