The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

#Digital India- ABC for Digital Empowerment! The Outer layer of logo resembling wheat spike-let is a stream of 1 and 0 representing digital media. The Middle layer green and orange arrows/ lines depicting flow of info are actually citizens of India with hand in hand representing empowerment. Digital media around the citizens symbolize utility of digital media for their empowerment. In the center “Ashoka Chakra” touches the citizens’ heads to represent accessibility to Government on demand.

A lilttle description @ Logo: The dots define the connectivity in the map of India spreading technolgy to every corner of the nation.A key in the letter 'D' denotes the security.

DIGITAL INDIA EMPOWERED INDIA: The logo shows @ Symbol since this is the lifeline of all digital communication. And it is shown all over India as our PM Narendra Modi ji's vision is to provide digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, provide governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens
