The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

The Digital India logo depiciting the Ashok chakra. The spokes in the Ashok chakra have been replaced with the printed circuit layout which is the lifeline of any digital circuitry. People holding the chakra depict empowerment and the tricolour Orange Green and white depicts the nation.

Name: Adhunik India Tagline: Digitalizing India The symbol denotes "@ of Bharat", as it denotes the recently launched ".bharat" domain and "@" signifies the digital part of India.

This vibrant logo harps on the importance of a Digital Identification in this e-age. A digital signature has been devised for the logo with colours inspired from our national flag (Saffron & Green) to highlight the Indian aspect.

Digital India is about "connecting citizens of India with technology"; thereby enabling good governance & service. Keeping this in mind, I've come up with a simple design. My design has concentric circles in the color of our national flag representing India. And, there's a central symbol emerging within the concentric circles; this symbol denotes "connectivity, technology and growth".
