The ideology behind the logo: The hexagonal shape denotes communication, interface & union. In nature, this shape is found in beehives and symbolises community. The multiple colours blend into each other denoting unity in diversity. The hexagon doesn't close which denotes that the programme is meant for all regardless of caste or religion. The 'd' in the centre stands for digital. The edge of the shape forms a straight line towards the end pointing up, abstractly creating an 'i' (for India).

It signifies 'D' and 'I' letters from first letters of Digital India. Multiple colors signify the diversity of India. 'I' in the shape of a person signifies people at the center of the initiative. 'D' has been curved in such a way to signify the pace and coverage of the program. Colors depicted in the logo depicts liveliness.
