The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

CONCEPT OF LOGO DESIGN
Digital India is derived from the word "inDIa"itself. We intend to show that DI (Digital India) is a part of InDIa. It shows that Indian citizens are ready for digitalization and agree to transform their lives by bridging the boundaries through this mission. Hence, this mission aids in transforming the lifelines of its citizens.
We also incorporate the Binary Codes ( 0 & 1) and wires that weaves ( ) the peoples together. Concept designed by Eva & Nishant

Keeping in mind theme, logo describes government reaching every citizen with the help of technological advancements. Here crops describes governance, wireless signals(reachability) as technological advancements and people joining hands in waveform describes end users(we the citizens).
