The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

This Logo below resembles human thumb with four colors sky blue , red ,yellow and light green..... Sky blue represents the infrastructure Red represents the need of emergency services, yellow represents the growth , light green represents the environmental care across borders. Why human thumb ... the essential presentation either in bio metric mode or digital mode to pronounce his true identity as a citizen in demand of the country.

On the tower we can see "i" which indicate internet and "i" is made of Cable................

DIGITAL INDIA: - Internet connectivity in every rural village in India...... A symbolic representation of an Indian rural farmer and latest digital technology....... While ploughing through the digital field farmer can get all web-basedservices without any interruptions.....
